About GLAAD
GLAAD has been shaping the narrative of LGBTQ acceptance for more than four decades. Founded in response to harmful AIDS coverage, GLAAD now fights for visibility and fairness across entertainment, news, politics, and social media. The organization’s mission is to create a world where everyone can live openly and authentically.

GLAAD invites media creators, journalists, and storytellers to join in celebrating LGBTQ representation, making this year’s awards a showcase of both the legacy achieved and the future being built. Submissions for the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards are officially open here.
