Tammy Slaton has officially found her happily ever after.

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star is engaged to her girlfriend, Andrea Dalton, and is opening up about the romantic proposal that marked the next chapter in their relationship.

Fans were introduced to Dalton during season 7 of 1000-Lb. Sisters, where viewers got a front-row seat to the couple’s love story. After meeting on a dating app, the pair quickly hit it off, and cameras followed everything from their first bowling date to Slaton opening up to her family about dating a woman.

Although she initially worried about how her loved ones might react, her family quickly embraced the relationship and supported her happiness.

Tammy Slaton Came Out as Pansexual in 2021

While Dalton is Slaton’s first public relationship with a woman, the reality star came out as pansexual during 1000-Lb. Sisters in 2021.

At the time, she explained that gender has never been the deciding factor in who she loves.

“It’s about how they make me feel, not how they look,” Slaton said, adding that “love is love.”

Her relationship with Dalton also marks her first public romance since the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, in 2023.

The Engagement Was Revealed Last Year

Although fans only recently watched the couple’s love story unfold on television, Slaton actually revealed they were engaged more than a year ago.

During a 2025 appearance on the Creative Chaos podcast, she casually referred to Dalton as her “fiancée,” surprising the host before proudly holding up her engagement ring.

Now, the couple is finally sharing how the proposal happened.

Andrea Dalton Planned a Horseback Riding Proposal

In a new video released by TLC, Slaton and Dalton reflected on the memorable day Dalton asked the question. The proposal took place during a horseback riding outing, though Dalton admitted it didn’t go exactly as planned.

“I couldn’t get down on one knee all the way,” she joked.

For Slaton, none of that mattered.

“The moment for me was, like, amazing,” she said. “Even though you couldn’t get on one knee, it was still very meaningful for me. You took me horseback riding and all the things. It was perfect.”

Dalton also revealed she carefully chose Slaton’s engagement ring with her personality in mind.

“She likes all of those colors, so I was like, ‘Yeah, this is perfect,'” Dalton said of the princess-cut multicolored ring.

They’re Looking Forward to Their Future Together

Now, the couple is focused on enjoying everyday life together.

“Every day is a new adventure with her,” Slaton said. “I’m just looking forward to tomorrow and the next day and living life with her and Kamala, our cat.”

Dalton couldn’t agree more.

“I’m looking forward to making fun memories, good times,” she said. “All three of us together, we’re a little family.”

Fans won’t have to wait long to see more of their love story, as the engaged couple teased that their relationship will continue to be featured in upcoming episodes of 1000-Lb. Sisters.
