Actor Taylor Napier, known for his role in The Wheel of Time, is leaning into his “sex symbol” status, and he’s not shying away from showing off why.
In a bold new photoshoot by photographer Ramon Christian, the queer actor strips down to a pair of skimpy Speedos, flaunting a chiseled physique and confident presence in a sun-drenched beach setting. The shoot quickly set social media ablaze, earning praise, and thirst, from fans across the internet.
Speaking with Out about the photoshoot, Napier said he welcomed the attention. “I loved it,” he said. “I obviously go to the gym a lot. I work out a lot, and I don’t do that to put a baggy sweater over my body.”
He added, “It is nice to be able to show off the hard work and be able to celebrate everything I put into being healthy, but also, honestly, a little bit of my vanity.”
Napier rose to prominence through his portrayal of Maksim in Prime Video’s fantasy epic The Wheel of Time, which was canceled earlier this year following its third season. His character, Maksim, is a human warder and protector of Alanna, played by Priyanka Bose. Together with fellow warder Ihvon (played by Emmanuel Imani and Anthony Kaye), the trio forms a queer, polyamorous relationship that was celebrated for its representation on screen.
In addition to his acting work, Napier has been embracing the role of public figure and navigating the complexities of maintaining an online presence. “It’s a weird kind of cross-section of this version of yourself that you have to put out there,” he told Out. “You have to sell your brand, in a weird way. And you have to kind of decide what your brand is.”
The actor was recently announced as part of the cast for the upcoming season of The Faithful, suggesting there’s much more of Taylor Napier to come, on screen and online.
