Crave named eight “Canada’s Drag Race” Season 7 guest judges on Monday, Nov. 2: Slayyyter, bbno$, Josh Ramsay, Sasha Colby, Nicky Doll, Joel Kim Booster, Wally Baram and Aurora James. The same Bell Media announcement said “the series is set to return for an eighth season.”
Season 7 premieres Thursday, Nov. 19, at 9 p.m. ET on Crave. It streams the same night on WOW Presents Plus “in the U.S. and in 190 territories worldwide,” Crave said when it revealed the cast Oct. 28.
Twelve queens are chasing $100,000 and the title of Canada’s Next Drag Superstar, Gayety reported that week. “I’m just a gorgeous Brazilian immigrant trying to find my Canadian husband!” Moh Dafok, 36, of Montreal, said in Crave’s cast announcement.
Gravy, 22, of St. John’s, went straight for camp. “This gravy is hot, salty, and stupid,” Gravy said in the same release. Season 6 fan favorite Paolo Perfección is back for another run, and Crave says Paolo “has alluded to her pork chop exit causing a citywide power outage.”
Who Are the ‘Canada’s Drag Race’ Season 7 Guest Judges?
Colby won “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 15, and Doll hosts “Drag Race France,” according to the release. Crave bills Booster, a two-time Emmy nominee, as a “stand-up comedian, writer, and actor,” and Baram as a “comedian, writer, and actress.”
Ramsay fronts Marianas Trench and co-wrote Carly Rae Jepsen’s Grammy-nominated hit “Call Me Maybe,” Music Week reported in 2023. “His musicality is unparalleled,” artist manager Jonathan Simkin said in that story. Crave bills Ramsay as a Juno winner and a “composer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.”
Crave’s guest list calls James a fashion designer and an “author, activist and mentor,” and she’s back mentoring designers when “Project Runway Canada” Season 2 premieres on Crave Friday, Nov. 20.
Slayyyter’s Queer Fanbase and bbno$’s Brief Retirement
Slayyyter, who spent her teen years in St. Louis, performed at Grindr’s Pleasure Ball in New York in October 2025. “I feel like that is the space where my music lives and thrives, and I feel grateful to always perform in those spaces,” she told People afterward.
She said she never set out to win over queer crowds. “I feel like a student of pop music and a champion of it in the same way that people in all queer spaces are,” she said.
bbno$, the British Columbia rapper who beat Tate McRae and Shawn Mendes for the Juno Fan Choice Award in 2025, posted last December that he’d stop making music “for the foreseeable future,” The Canadian Press reported. “I’ve just been bullied online,” he told the Fear& podcast. He was back on Jan. 9 with a new single, “diamonds are forever,” TMZ reported.

Lauren Chan Joins Brooke Lynn Hytes and Traci Melchor’s Panel
“Brooke Lynn Hytes and Traci Melchor are back at the judges table alongside rotating special guest judges,” the release said. Carson Kressley, Hollywood Jade and Sarain Fox are still in that rotation, and Lauren Chan is new to it.
“They are beloved members of the Drag Race family, and each bring a unique perspective alongside Brooke Lynn and Traci,” showrunner Trevor Boris said when Crave added Kressley, Hollywood Jade and Fox in a Nov. 6, 2025, release. Paula Abdul, Alyssa Edwards and Rufus Wainwright were among the Season 6 guest judges named that day. That announcement carried a renewal, too: “In further exciting news, Crave has ordered a seventh season of the award-winning series.”
Season 8 Casting Opens Nov. 20, So Beat That Face
Queens who want in on Season 8 can apply starting Friday, Nov. 20, one day after the Season 7 premiere. Applicants “must be at least 19 years of age as of November 20, 2026,” the release said, and they must “hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.”
