Reality-star-turned-host Colton Underwood is gearing up for another season in the castle, this time as a contestant on The Traitors, and he’s not hiding his nerves. In a recent chat with Gayety, Underwood described the lead-up to the premiere as “terrifying,” even while acknowledging that the ride is going to be “so much fun.”

“Closer? I’m terrified, but I was terrified when I started and it’s going to be so much fun. It was an incredible cast. A lot of gays and a lot of queer representation on there. So you love to see.”

Behind the scenes, Underwood said, the atmosphere was intense but deeply rewarding.

“The entire thing was so fun. It was stressful. It was intense, but it was fun. … It reminded me a lot of the locker rooms when I played football, like a melting pot of cultures. I would’ve never been in a situation where I had that type of people around me and I enjoyed it.”

While Peacock has not confirmed an exact premiere date yet, the network has signaled that Season 4 is expected to drop in “early 2026”. This aligns with how Seasons 1 through 3 all premiered around January of their respective years.
