Bradley Cooper Transforms into Queer Composer Leonard Bernstein in ‘Maestro’ Trailer
The Maestro trailer teases the composer’s remarkable achievements and delves into his intricate relationship with his wife, Felicia.
“If summer doesn’t sing in you, then nothing sings in you. And if nothing sings in you, then you can’t make music,” Bradley Cooper says at the top of the new trailer.
Leonard Bernstein is considered to be one of the most important conductors of his time and was the first American conductor to receive international acclaim. However, from what we can tell from the trailer and reviews of the film, Maestro will focus less on the music and more on the “lifelong relationship between Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein.”
Leonard Bernstein’s Sexuality
Maestro, which Cooper co-wrote, directed, and starred in, shows the Bernsteins through multiple stages of their lives. It also depicts the various relationships the composer had with men throughout their marriage, a fact that was only revealed after his passing.
“What age are we living in?” Felicia (played by Carey Mulligan) asks in the trailer. “One can be as free as one likes without guilt or confession. Please, I know exactly who you are.”
Meanwhile, the trailer cuts to a clip of Cooper and Matt Bomer staring lovingly at each other. Much to our delight, Bomer will play one of Bernstein’s lovers. The two have been spotted kissing on set by attentive fans. It’s no surprise that we are eager to see these two share the screen.

“I love people so much that it’s hard for me to be alone.”
According to Bernstein’s West Side Story collaborator, Arthur Laurents, he was “a gay man who got married. He wasn’t conflicted about his sexual orientation at all.”
Still, the film will no doubt portray Bernstein’s beautiful relationship with his wife, Felicia.
“A love letter to life and art, Maestro at its core is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love,” reads the synopsis.
Produced by Cooper, Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese, Maestro will come to select theaters November 22 and on Netflix December 20.

Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott Spotted Partying at a Gay Bar
The All of Us Strangers actors were spotted taking celebratory shots in honor of Scott’s birthday!
We did not think our excitement for Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal’s upcoming fantasy drama could surge any higher, but the two actors are proving us wrong. This weekend they provided us with some delightful off-screen content to adore.
In a series of images shared online, Scott and Mescal are seen partying and having fun in a gay club with fellow actor Fionn O’Shea.
It looks like the outing was in honor of Scott’s 47th birthday, which he celebrated on October 21. But the real question is, who gave them the right to show off so much skin?
However, these were only some of the photos of Scott and Mescal to surface recently. Fresh stills from All of Us Strangers were unveiled by Searchlight Pictures, featuring both men exuding a shared sense of shirtless brooding.

On Sharing a Screen
All of Us Strangers is an adaptation of the Japanese novel of the same name by Taichi Yamada. British filmmaker Andrew Haigh will direct it. It follows Adam (Scott), a man living in a lonely tower block in London. When Adam has a chance encounter with his neighbor Harry (Mescal), his whole world is turned upside down. Though sparks fly between the London boys, not everything is as simple as it seems. Adam “is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.”
The film has been impressing audiences at various film festivals, earning acclaim for the intense chemistry between the lead actors.
See Scott and Mescal fall for each other when All of Us Strangers premieres in theaters on December 22.

Antoni Porowski Has a New Docuseries Coming to National Geographic
The king of culinary on Netflix’s Queer Eye will bring celebrity guests on the show to help connect them with their rich heritages.
More Antoni Porowski on our screens? Yes, please.
National Geographic is launching a new documentary series, and foodie Antoni Porowski is hosting it. No Taste Like Home with Antoni will see Porowski on an epic journey “to discover the rich heritages of global celebrities by way of their ancestors’ food traditions, techniques and culinary experiences.”
Since 2018, the multifaceted Polish talent has been elevating at-home cooking for heroes on the popular Netflix series. But in this fresh endeavor, Porowski delves deeper into the profound link between people and food.
“Food is such an integral part of understanding who we are and where we come from,” said Porowski. “I am so grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, alongside some wonderful friends both new and old, traveling the globe, making up for all the times I skipped geography class in high school, to explore food traditions and cultures, and am honored to embark on this journey with National Geographic.”

“I’m really thankful to our celebrities who came on this journey,” he continued. “Taking us to all corners of the globe, inviting us into their lives and trusting us to tell their family’s food stories in this way.”

Troye Sivan and Ross Lynch are Flirting on TikTok
We can’t get enough of Troye Sivan and Ross Lynch in the “One Of Your Girls” music video. Luckily, both musicians are keeping us fed over on TikTok.
Last week, Troye Sivan dropped one of the swooniest music videos we have ever seen, inspired by his previous relationships with straight men.
“One of Your Girls,” a track on Sivan’s new Something to Give Each Other album, features an alluring Ross Lynch wearing nothing but low-waisted, unbuttoned jeans. As if that was not hot enough, the camera later flips to Sivan, looking glamorous in a blonde wig, short white dress and knee-high boots. Needless to say, they’re both gorgeous and we have difficulty deciding who to look at.
The Flirting Has Spilled Over to TikTok
Following the video’s success, Sivan and Lynch have shared cheeky exchanges on TikTok that have users in shambles.
First, the “Rush” singer posted a video where he is using a heart-eyed filter and looking off into the distance. “Ross Lynch said yes and is available to shoot,” Sivan captioned the video. Trust us, we would have the same reaction to that news.
Then, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor joined the fun and dueted Sivan’s video. In it, Lynch is smiling and jumping around on a beach.
This is where things get really saucy. Sivan then posted multiple videos from behind the scenes of the music video where he is flirting with the actor in broad daylight and watching from the makeup chair as Lynch does pushups.

Why ‘Dicks: The Musical’ is the Chaotic Comedy We Craved
Sewer Boys, flying vaginas, Bowen Yang as a God, what more could you ask for?
The film Dicks: The Musical is based on the off-Broadway production F**cking Identical Twins by Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp. The creators returned to reprise their roles, elevating the production into an A24 film featuring award-winning actors Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally, alongside renowned rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
The outrageous musical comedy follows two heterosexual businessmen, Craig (Sharp) and Trevor (Jackson), who only care about making money and sleeping with women. That is until they discover they are identical twins who were separated at birth to be raised in a single-parent household. Desiring a “real” family, the men switch places and attempt to bring their divorced parents (Lane and Mullally) together.
In short, it’s a messed up version of The Parent Trap with way more F-bombs. And twin incest. And a gay God.
There’s No Such Thing as ‘Too Far’
Admittedly, the film does not stray away from the outrageous, a fact director Larry Charles (Borat) is very proud of. In an interview with Gayety, Charles said the team asked themselves every day if they had gone too far, “but we usually said, ‘no.'”
Charles also raved about working alongside Lane and Mullally, who have a hilarious duet together called “Gay Old Life,” starring the infamous Sewer Boys. “Nathan and Megan are two of the great treasuries of the American theater, so I felt very lucky.”
In conversation with Jackson and Sharp, their delight at gracing a Hollywood red carpet during the strikes, and their excitement in bringing this musical to a global audience, was palpable.
“We hope [audiences] say it’s the funniest movie they’ve ever seen and they take all their friends and come back,” Jackson said. “I hope they’re like, ‘I ain’t never seen something like that in the theaters!’ And then they rally all their friends and go back and see it again. It is a movie for you to go with a big crowd and sort of scream out.”
Dicks: The Musical is in theaters now. Watch our interviews with Sharp, Jackson, Charles, and Yang below.
Anne Hathaway Seduces Thomasin McKenzie in New Thriller ‘Eileen’
Anne Hathaway captivates as an enigmatic seductress in the latest Eileen trailer directed by William Oldroyd.
Based on the novel of the same name by Ottessa Moshfegh, with a script from Moshfegh and her husband Luke Goebel, Eileen tells the story of a young secretary who becomes enchanted by Rebecca, the glamorous new counselor at the prison where she works.
In the new trailer released by Neon, Eileen’s once bland life at a Massachusetts prison is now full of color. The two seem to do everything together, like share a cigarette while filing papers (“nasty habit, that’s why I like it”). Between secret confessions, intimate touches, and tender dances, it’s not hard to see why the woman would quickly fall under the blonde bombshell’s spell.
But, as the trailer progresses, we realize that things aren’t as perfect as they initially appear. Dark secrets are lurking in the shadows.

“Love will make you crazy. Love will make you kill,” a voice narrates over the trailer. Meanwhile, rapid-fire clips show Eileen brandishing a gun at Rebecca, them sharing a passionate kiss, and someone flipping through gruesome, bloodied photos.
Eileen also stars Shea Whigham, Sam Nivola, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Owen Teague, and Peter McRobbie.
It will premiere in theaters on December 8.
J.K. Rowling Says She Prefers Prison Over Inclusive Pronouns
We are deeply saddened to report that J.K. Rowling is being a big TERF online again.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Harry Potter author shared a photo that had the words “repeat after us: trans women are women” projected on a wall. She simply captioned it, “No.”
Given Rowling’s prior outspoken stance against transgender women, this tweet comes as no surprise. In former anti-trans posts, she said, “If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives.”

However, her hateful anti-trans rhetoric did not stop there. One user replied to her initial tweet: “Vote Labour, get a two year stretch.” The comment appeared to allude to Labour politician Anneliese Dodds’ recent statement that a Labour Party-led government would impose stricter penalties for anti-LGBTQ+ hate crimes.
Rowling replied she would “happily do two years [in prison] if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex.”
“Bring on the court case, I say,” she added. “It’ll be more fun than I’ve ever had on a red carpet.”
If we could suggest an alternative, just don’t commit hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community. Then, no one has to go to jail.
Stars Who Have Spoken Out Against Rowling
The fantasy writer first stirred backlash in 2020 when she shared a series of transphobic comments on Twitter. Since then, Rowling has continued to use her platform to spread anti-trans misinformation, causing many fans to dissociate from the author or the franchise entirely.
Following Rowling’s actions, actor Daniel Radcliffe apologized for the “pain these comments have caused you” and declared “transgender women are women.”
“I realize that certain press outlets will probably want to paint this as in-fighting between J.K. Rowling and myself, but that is really not what this is about, nor is it what’s important right now,” Radcliffe wrote in his article published on The Trevor Project.
“Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I… It’s clear that we need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people, not invalidate their identities, and not cause further harm.”
Fellow co-stars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have also made statements in response to Rowling. However, the author continues to spread her hateful comments online and stir up backlash.

Colman Domingo Organizes March on Washington in New ‘Rustin’ Trailer
Colman Domingo is bringing an out civil rights activist to life in Netflix’s latest biographical drama, Rustin.
The Emmy Award-winning actor is Bayard Rustin, the architect of 1963’s momentous March on Washington and one of the most incredible activists and organizers the world has ever known. The march united a quarter million people in a peaceful rally. It is also well-known for hosting Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
Rustin Trailer Shines Light on the Forgotten
In the new trailer, Rustin 9Domingo) rallies young activists of all races with his march plans and infectious hope, yet faces resistance from those skeptical of his ambitious vision, like activist Roy Wilkins (Chris Rock). “Every person at this table will be in the line of fire because of him,” Wilkins says in the clip.
Rustin is seen as an unyielding force, standing firm in the face of opposition despite being an openly gay man in the ’60s.
“I can’t surrender my differences, the world won’t let me.”

Luckily, Rustin has allies on his side.
“Alongside giants like the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell Jr., and Ella Baker, Bayard Rustin dared to imagine a different world and inspired a movement in a march toward freedom,” reads the official synopsis. “He challenged authority and never apologized for who he was, what he believed, or who he desired. And he did not back down. He made history, and in turn, he was forgotten.”
The Road to Rustin
In a recent interview with the New York Times, director George C. Wolfe spoke about the importance of Bayard’s story. “Rustin, who was, in Wolfe’s estimation ‘about as out as a Black man could be in 1960s America,’ was largely pushed aside by civil rights leaders who feared that his sexuality would bring shame on the movement,” wrote Jenny Comita. “‘Here was this monumental human being who changed history, and then history forgot him,’ says Wolfe, himself a gay man, who has lived in New York City since 1979. Telling stories like Rustin’s, he says, is ‘a means to share, to inform, to challenge, to confront the world.’”
Academy Award winner Bruce Cohen, along with Higher Ground’s Tonia Davis and George C. Wolfe, bring together an all-star ensemble for Rustin, including Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Gus Halper, CCH Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Johnny Ramey, Michael Potts, Jeffrey Wright, and Audra McDonald.
Rustin has debuted at Telluride and TIFF and won the award for audience awards at Heartland and the Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF).
Rustin will premiere in select theaters on November 3 and will begin streaming on Netflix on November 17.
“We are committed to altering the trajectory of this country towards freedom. That’s what’s on the line. Nothing less.”
