At just 20 years old, SOMBR is proving his breakout moment was only the beginning.
The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter released his latest single, “My Body Isn’t Ready,” on Friday, accompanied by a cinematic music video starring Inde Navarrette and Josh Heuston. The release arrives as the rising star prepares for a busy stretch that includes a dual appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, a surprise hometown concert in New York City and his biggest headlining tour yet.

Directed by Gus Black, the new visual brings the song’s emotional core to life, pairing intimate performances with a story that reflects the track’s themes of insecurity and self-acceptance.
SOMBR Opens Up About Body Image
“My Body Isn’t Ready” finds SOMBR tackling some of his most personal songwriting to date.
Written solely by the artist and co-produced by him, the song explores body image, self-worth and the complicated process of feeling comfortable in your own skin. Rather than masking those emotions, SOMBR leans into them, continuing the confessional style that has helped him build a devoted global audience.
The track follows his recent single “Homewrecker,” which marked another strong chart debut after the success of his 2025 debut album, I Barely Know Her. That project introduced fans to hits including “Back to Friends,” “Undressed” and “12 to 12,” helping establish SOMBR as one of pop’s fastest-rising voices.
Born Shane Boose in New York City, the musician has become known for writing his own material and co-producing his catalog, blending introspective lyrics with arena-ready hooks.
Jimmy Fallon Appearance and Surprise NYC Show
The new release comes with an equally packed schedule.
SOMBR is set to appear tonight on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as both the musical guest and interview guest, where he’ll perform “My Body Isn’t Ready.”
The television appearance follows recent performances at the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the American Music Awards, where he performed “Homewrecker.”
Fans in New York also have another reason to stay tuned. SOMBR will announce a surprise concert taking place tomorrow night in the city, giving attendees an opportunity to hear the new music in a smaller venue before he heads out on an arena run. Additional details will be announced tomorrow.

Before the arena trek reaches full speed, SOMBR will spend the summer and early fall on the festival circuit. His schedule includes Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Sziget, Reading & Leeds, Rock En Seine, Electric Picnic and several other major festivals across North America and Europe.
With a new single, national television appearance and dozens of arena dates on the horizon, SOMBR’s momentum continues to build. If “My Body Isn’t Ready” is any indication, he’s entering his next chapter with the same emotional honesty that first connected him with fans, only now, he’s bringing it to much bigger stages.
