Brittany Snow is warning fans to brace themselves when The Hunting Wives returns.

While attending the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, the actor teased that season 2 of the hit Netflix drama will feature a shocking and “wild” death, one that left her stunned the first time she read the script.

“I stood up on my couch,” Snow said on the red carpet with Entertainment Tonight when asked about what surprised her most in the upcoming season. “Someone dies. I won’t tell you who. That is a wild play. Wild behavior.”

Snow, 39, stars as Sophie O’Neil in the series, which follows a newcomer to a wealthy Texas community who becomes entangled with a powerful and dangerous group of women led by Malin Akerman’s Margo Banks. The show quickly gained a devoted fan base after its July debut, thanks in part to its erotic tension, queer undertones and increasingly dark twists.

According to Snow, season 2 raises the stakes even higher.

“Every script is a new adventure,” she said in an interview during the awards festivities. “They said that we couldn’t top last year, and somehow I think we are doing it. I’m surprised — and I even knew what was coming a little bit. I think people are going to be very shocked. I think people are going to be angry.”

She added that viewers’ strong reactions are part of the fun. “I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing to say, but people should definitely watch.”

Snow also confirmed that the next chapter of The Hunting Wives will lean further into its steamy reputation. Speaking to E! on the red carpet, she described season 2 as even sexier than the first.

“Oh, it’s just as steamy — it’s more steamy, actually,” Snow said. “We’ve filmed some scenes, we’ve played some Reneé Rapp, we got into a groove. We’re doing it.”

She hinted that the show’s signature mix of eroticism and chaos will once again leave fans reeling. “A lot of things happen this season that are very shocking,” she said. “It’s going to leave people very angry — but in a sexy way.”

Netflix confirmed the series’ renewal in September 2025. Unlike the first season, which was based on May Cobb’s novel, season 2 will follow an original storyline. According to the streamer’s official logline, Sophie and Margo begin the new season “on the outs,” but unresolved secrets and new enemies force them back into each other’s orbit.

“As they play their dangerous games,” the logline reads, “the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

Snow’s growing success on The Hunting Wives comes amid a particularly busy period in her career. Over the past year, she has also appeared in Netflix’s The Beast in Me and Hulu’s Murdaugh: Death in the Family.

“This year has been one of those years where I really challenged myself,” Snow previously said. “Sometimes I miss and sometimes I win, and I get to learn from it all. That’s really exciting for me.”

Season 1 of The Hunting Wives is currently streaming on Netflix. Season 2 does not yet have a premiere date, but if Snow’s hints are any indication, fans should prepare for even more danger, desire and devastation when it returns.
