Kim Petras is stepping into 2026 with a new role that blends pop stardom, queer culture and sexual health advocacy. The GRAMMY Award-winning artist has been named a 2026 ambassador for MISTR, the national telehealth platform that provides free access to PrEP, DoxyPEP and STI testing, the company announced.
The partnership launches on New Year’s Eve, with Petras headlining a MISTR-presented celebration at The Abbey in West Hollywood alongside Grammy-nominated producer Margo XS. The event marks the start of a yearlong collaboration that will extend across music, live events and a major brand campaign tied to Petras’ forthcoming album.
For MISTR, the collaboration represents a natural alignment with an artist known for unapologetic sex positivity and a deep connection to LGBTQ+ audiences. Founder and CEO Tristan Schukraft said Petras embodies the confidence and openness that the platform aims to promote in conversations around sexual health.
“Kim is fearless and unapologetically sex-positive,” Schukraft said in a statement. “Her confidence, playfulness and stigma-free approach to life align perfectly with our mission at MISTR to make sexual healthcare accessible and free. With her new album, Kim is entering a freer, more powerful chapter, and we’re excited to celebrate this new era together.”
As part of the partnership, Petras will star in a major MISTR brand campaign launching in early 2026 and will make select appearances with the organization throughout the year in key markets and cultural moments. MISTR will also support the rollout of her upcoming album through fan events and music video integrations, positioning the company as a visible partner during this next phase of her career.
Petras said the collaboration is rooted in shared values around openness and accessibility.
“MISTR is changing the way we talk about sexual health by making it open, accessible and real,” Petras said. “Sexual health should be normalized, not whispered about, and MISTR is leading that shift.”
MISTR and its companion platform, SISTR, are currently the only national telemedicine services offering completely free PrEP to patients regardless of insurance status, covering lab work, doctor consultations, medication and shipping. Patients can also bundle DoxyPEP at no cost, an evidence-based option shown to significantly reduce the risk of certain sexually transmitted infections.
According to a recent study from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health published in The Journal of the American Medical Association, nearly one in five people currently on PrEP now receive their care through MISTR’s telehealth model — a data point the company points to as evidence of its growing impact on HIV prevention nationwide.
The partnership arrives as Petras prepares to enter what she has described as her boldest era yet. Since first emerging in 2017, the German-born pop star has built a global following with projects including Clarity, TURN OFF THE LIGHTS and Feed the Beast. She reached new heights with “Unholy,” her chart-topping collaboration with Sam Smith, which earned her a GRAMMY Award and cemented her place in pop culture history.
