Netflix announced that production has officially begun on Season 2 of The Hunting Wives, the hit drama from Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment. Fans can expect Sophie, Margo, and yes, Margo’s iconic wig, to return as the tangled webs of desire and deceit continue to unravel.

Returning Cast and New Faces
Season 2 will see the return of Karen Rodriguez as Deputy Salazar and Hunter Emery as Deputy Flynn, joining previously confirmed guest star Branton Box as Sheriff Johnny. Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, and George Ferrier are also back to reprise their roles. Additional cast members are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Season 2 Setup
Created by Rebecca Cutter and based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives follows a wealthy suburban community where no one is quite what they seem. The first season debuted on Netflix in the U.S. on July 21, spending five weeks in the global English Top 10 TV list and amassing over 20 million views in that window, despite its limited initial release.

Season 2 kicks off with Sophie and Margo estranged from one another, but old secrets and new adversaries force them back together. As the stakes rise, audiences will be left wondering: who is really hunting, and who is the hunted? The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes filmed in the U.S. and will release as a Netflix branded series in nearly every country where the streaming platform is available.
Behind the Scenes
Rebecca Cutter serves as creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer, with Erwin Stoff producing for 3 Arts Entertainment alongside May Cobb. Lionsgate continues as the studio behind the series, promising the same slick, suspenseful storytelling fans enjoyed in Season 1.
With its mix of suburban intrigue, high-stakes secrets, and unforgettable characters, The Hunting Wives has become a must-watch for drama lovers. Season 2 is poised to build on the first season’s momentum, delivering the twists, tension, and sharp humor audiences have come to expect.
