“Off Campus” Season 2 wrapped filming in Vancouver in September, Marie Claire reported, and Prime Video still hasn’t said when its college hockey romance returns. The show’s verified X account named the new lead couple on May 28 with a wink at Elle Kennedy’s book titles. “One couple made a deal. The next one is keeping score.”
That couple is Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn), whose romance was a side plot in Season 1. “We’re really excited about the book-favorite moments that we’re exploring in Season Two,” co-showrunner Louisa Levy told Rolling Stone in May.
When Does ‘Off Campus’ Season 2 Come Out?
April or May 2027 is an estimate. On May 25, TVLine’s Madeline Lapreziosa suggested either month was about the earliest fans could see Season 2. Filming hadn’t even started. Prime Video still hasn’t put a date on its calendar. At Prime Video’s June Obsessed Fest, Levy told Entertainment Tonight the show was “about a quarter of the way through filming,” Bustle reported on July 1.
Hollywood North Buzz, a Vancouver film news site, tracked the shoot under the working title “Skylight.” The University of British Columbia doubles as Briar U. Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli “sent a video message from the set of Season 2 to the Off Campus YA Retreat in September 2026,” according to Amazon’s guide to the show.
The actors had two scripts in hand before Hannah and Garrett’s first episode aired on May 13. “We have all eight scripts written,” Levy told Us Weekly ahead of the premiere. At that point the writers had finished their work, though Levy said they could still make changes.
Which Book Is ‘Off Campus’ Season 2 Based On?
Season 1 told Hannah and Garrett’s story from Kennedy’s “The Deal,” and Dean and Allie get the spotlight in her third Off-Campus novel, “The Score.” “Adapting a book for television always involves some creative changes, and that process was led by the team at Amazon,” Kennedy told Parade.
The second book, “The Mistake,” belongs to John Logan (Antonio Cipriano) and Grace Ivers, and India Fowler plays Grace this season. Levy told TV Guide on premiere day that Fowler did a chemistry read with Cipriano before she got the part. “India fell out of the book,” Levy said.
If you’re reading ahead, Allie and Dean’s book starts after Allie ends a long relationship. She’s trying to work out life after graduation. A rebound with Dean ought to be simple enough, until Dean wants another date. Here’s Kennedy’s own reading order.
| Elle Kennedy’s reading order | Couple or collection |
|---|---|
| 1. The Deal | Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham (Season 1) |
| 2. The Mistake | John Logan and Grace Ivers |
| 3. The Score | Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis (Season 2) |
| 4. The Goal | John Tucker and Sabrina James |
| 5. The Legacy | Four follow-up novellas, one per couple. |
Levy runs the show with co-showrunner Gina Fattore, Variety reported. She told TV Guide she doesn’t have a set number of seasons in mind. “I certainly have plans for the first four,” she said, meaning Kennedy’s first four Off-Campus books.
Who’s in the ‘Off Campus’ Season 2 Cast?
Prime Video’s Season 2 roster pairs returning leads with three newcomers. Here’s who they play, what connects them at Briar and where you may have seen the actors before. The returning cast appears in Prime Video’s Season 1 publicity photos. The newcomer photos show earlier roles. TV Insider’s cast guide documents the actors’ earlier work.
Meet the new arrivals, Grace Ivers, Scarlett or Summer Di Laurentis.
Mika Abdalla as Allie Hayes
Allie studies drama at Briar and shares her secrets with Hannah. In Season 1, her longtime boyfriend Sean and hockey player Dean have very different ideas about what she owes them. Season 2 puts her choice at the center of the story. Before Briar, Abdalla played the young spy at the heart of Project Mc² and starred in Snack Shack.
Stephen Kalyn as Dean Di Laurentis
Garrett’s teammate plays defense for the Hawks. Away from the rink, Dean’s closest friend is Beau, the quarterback. Allie knows Dean’s reputation for casual hookups. In The Score, he’s the one who wants more. Kalyn played a young Logan in Motorheads and appeared in Cruel Intentions alongside Clarke.
Ella Bright as Hannah Wells
Hannah is a songwriter who agreed to tutor Garrett in exchange for a date that might make Justin jealous. By Season 2 she has a paid internship, a relationship with Garrett and a best friend with plenty to tell her. Bright led the BBC’s boarding-school drama Malory Towers and appeared in The Crown.
Belmont Cameli as Garrett Graham
Garrett captains the Briar Hawks. His father expects him to follow him into the NHL, and the Boston Bruins have already drafted him. Garrett’s suspension complicates his plans long before he leaves college. You may recognize Cameli from Peacock’s Saved by the Bell or the Netflix romance Along for the Ride.
Antonio Cipriano as John Logan
Logan plays hockey with Garrett and has a younger sibling, Jules, who knows everybody’s business. In Kennedy’s second book, he gets a shot at love with Grace Ivers. Fowler’s casting brings the pair into the same TV season for the first time. Cipriano made his Broadway debut in Jagged Little Pill and played Oren on Disney+’s National Treasure: Edge of History.
Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker
Tucker is one of the Hawks and the other John in the hockey house. Logan is Grace’s love interest. Tucker’s own book, The Goal, pairs him with Sabrina James. That’s a book detail for now. Brooks also plays emergency department nurse Mateo Diaz on The Pitt.
Khobe Clarke as Beau Maxwell
Beau plays quarterback for Briar’s football team. His link to the hockey house is Dean, his best friend. Clarke grew up playing hockey himself. Before Off Campus, he appeared in Yellowjackets and Prime Video’s Cruel Intentions.
Steve Howey as Phil Graham
A former NHL player, Phil expects his son Garrett to live up to his career. Season 1 reveals the abuse Garrett endured at home. Amazon lists Howey on the returning roster. Viewers may know him as Kevin Ball from Shameless or Van Montgomery from Reba.
India Fowler as Grace Ivers
Grace arrives at Briar as a freshman studying sociology. Readers met her in The Mistake, where she studied psychology. She’s the student Logan has to win over after their first encounter goes badly. For an idea of Fowler’s work, watch her play Lori Granger, the outsider running for prom queen in Netflix’s Fear Street: Prom Queen.
Phillipa Soo as Scarlett
Scarlett comes to Briar as a guest artist directing an original play. That puts her in Allie’s drama department, a part of campus that matters as much to Allie as the rink does to Dean. Soo originated Eliza Hamilton on Broadway and played nurse practitioner Avery Morgan on ABC’s Doctor Odyssey.
Shay Rudolph as Summer Di Laurentis
Summer is Dean’s younger sister. Rudolph joins in a guest role, and book readers have already met Summer in The Score. She later headlines The Chase, the first Briar U spinoff novel. The show introduced Rudolph alongside Kalyn in matching outfits. She played Stacey McGill in Netflix’s The Baby-Sitters Club.
Josh Heuston as Justin Kohl
Justin fronts a rock band and first catches Hannah’s eye in Season 1. Heuston also played Dusty in Heartbreak High and appeared in Dune: Prophecy. Amazon’s September guide lists him among the returning actors. Asked about Justin in May, Levy told TV Guide, “Not next season,” and left the door open for another year. The two sources give different accounts of his return.
Are Hannah and Garrett Still in Season 2?
Hannah and Garrett stay in the ensemble. “Hannah and Garrett are still in Season 2,” Levy told Entertainment Weekly. The season follows a different couple, she said, but these two still have lives together at Briar.
Season 1 finale spoilers follow. Cameli told Bustle that Garrett starts out suspended after the Season 1 fight and is still a Boston Bruins draft pick. “Garrett and Hannah’s story isn’t over,” he said. Hannah has a paid internship and her music. Garrett has a team he wants to take to the Frozen Four.
Charlie Evans as Hunter Davenport
Hunter Davenport enters the story late in Season 1. Charlie Evans plays the new hockey recruit who upends Dean and Allie’s secret romance. In the books, Dean takes Hunter under his wing. Evans told Swooon he joined the cast at hockey camp in Vancouver for Season 2. Levy has kept his billing under wraps. Evans previously played Archie Sandford in Leave the World Behind.
Julia Sarah Stone as Jules Logan
Logan has an older brother named Jeff in the novels. For the series, Levy created his nonbinary younger sibling, Jules, played by Julia Sarah Stone. Jules runs the campus gossip blog and can explain what’s happening on the ice. Prime Video’s announced Season 2 cast list doesn’t specify whether Stone returns. Stone also starred in the Canadian film Honey Bee.
Is There an ‘Off Campus’ Season 2 Trailer?
Prime Video hasn’t released a Season 2 trailer. The clip below is the May 28 announcement, featuring the handoff from Garrett and Hannah to Dean and Allie.
Prime Video has also shared a September video featuring Bright and Cameli on set. The August photo with Levy was a behind-the-scenes picture, as Brit + Co reported.
Where to Watch ‘Off Campus’ Before Season 2
Every Season 1 episode streams on Prime Video, where Season 2 will also air. All eight episodes are available in the U.S. The trailer below is Season 1’s, which Prime Video released in April, BroadwayWorld reported.
Prime Video renewed the show Feb. 12, three months before Season 1 premiered. The first season reached 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days of streaming, according to Amazon.
What to Read After ‘The Score’
Kennedy’s backlist also includes “Him,” a college hockey romance between Jamie Canning and Ryan Wesley that she wrote with Sarina Bowen. “They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?” the book’s description on Bowen’s site begins.
Bustle put Him on an August list of hockey romances for fans of Heated Rivalry. For more from Rachel Reid, Gayety has the details on Shane and Ilya’s next book, Unrivaled.
