Miami-based menswear label SAMMY is stepping into Spring/Summer 2026 with its most revealing collection yet, and it’s not just about showing more skin. It’s about changing how men think about the clothes closest to their bodies.

Founded by Clark Samuel, the brand has built a loyal following around a simple idea: men’s essentials should actually work with the body, not hide it. This season, that philosophy sharpens with expanded swim and underwear cuts, new fabrications, and a color story that leans into mood as much as style.

“I want a guy to put on a SAMMY piece and feel like it was made just for him,” Samuel tells Gayety. “That moment where you catch yourself in the mirror and it just clicks.”

Rethinking “Essentials” for a New Generation

SAMMY’s tagline — “men’s essentials, without limits” — isn’t just branding. It’s a direct response to what Samuel saw as a gap in the market.

“For a long time, men’s essentials were designed to avoid the body,” he explains. “If something fit, it wasn’t comfortable. If it was comfortable, it didn’t look like much.”

Instead of reinventing the wardrobe, SAMMY refines it. Tees, briefs, shorts, and swimwear remain the foundation, but proportions shift. Shorts run shorter. Waistlines sit lower. Tees follow the shoulders instead of falling straight down.

“They’re still easy to wear,” Samuel says. “But there’s room for sensuality. That quiet confidence where you know you look good without announcing it.”

Filling the Gap Between Basic and Loud

In a crowded underwear and swimwear market, SAMMY positions itself between two extremes.

“Most brands are either very basic or very loud,” Samuel says. “There wasn’t much in between.”

That middle ground, clean, minimal, but still body-aware, defines the SS26 collection. The brand’s best-selling silhouettes return, including Brazilian cuts, classic briefs, and G-strings, now offered in updated colors and fabric options.

The expansion is especially noticeable in underwear. Brazilian and G-string styles are now available in both sheer and opaque versions, with adjustable waistbands and lower rises designed to frame the body more precisely.

“It’s about options,” Samuel says. “Different cuts highlight different parts of the body. That choice matters.”

Why Fit Comes First

While the collection may read as provocative, Samuel insists the process starts with structure, not aesthetics.

“We always begin with fit,” he says. “Once the anatomy works, everything else follows.”

That philosophy shows up in small adjustments most people wouldn’t notice, but would feel. A slight shift in a waistband, a refined leg opening, or a subtle taper through a tee can change how a piece sits on the body.

“Millimeters matter,” Samuel says. “If something looks right but feels off, it’s gone. If it feels good but won’t last, it’s gone.”

The result is clothing designed to move with the body, not restrict it. Four-way stretch fabrics, smooth waistbands, and carefully engineered seams all play a role.

The Psychology of Feeling Sexy

SAMMY’s approach to design is rooted in a broader cultural shift. More men are exploring style as a form of self-expression, and that includes what’s worn underneath.

“Wanting to feel good in your body isn’t a sexuality,” Samuel says. “It’s human.”

For those hesitant to try more revealing styles, his advice is simple: start small.

“You can begin with something no one else sees,” he says. “Wear it for yourself. That’s usually where the confidence starts.”

He also points to the unique appeal of underwear and swimwear compared to nudity itself.

“The right piece frames the body,” Samuel explains. “It leaves something to the imagination. That tension can feel even more powerful.”

Color, Mood, and a Hint of Heat

Color plays a central role in the SS26 lineup, which Samuel describes as “three worlds of escapism.”

Earth tones like Mahogany, Sage, and Onyx evoke a quiet luxury inspired by resort interiors. Brighter shades like Mango and Caribbean pull from Miami’s sun-drenched energy. Then there’s Red Flame, the brand’s most daring addition.

“The kind of color you notice and don’t forget,” Samuel says.

Red Flame also signals a shift. The sheer G-string in this shade leans closer to lingerie than traditional menswear, marking new territory for the brand.

“It’s playful and a little provocative,” he says. “Something you wear when you want to feel seductive, for yourself or someone else.”

A Miami State of Mind

SAMMY’s identity is deeply tied to its hometown. Miami’s beach culture, nightlife, and openness around the body shape the brand’s perspective.

“People are comfortable showing more skin here,” Samuel says. “There’s a sense of freedom.”

That energy carries through the collection’s silhouettes and campaign imagery, which Samuel shot himself to maintain the brand’s visual tone, controlled, minimal, and quietly sensual.

What’s Next for SAMMY

As the brand grows internationally, Samuel is focused on expanding within its core categories rather than chasing trends.

“I want SAMMY to become a full wardrobe,” he says. “Not just swim and underwear, but everything built around exceptional fit.”

Future explorations could include denim, polos, and even leather, all filtered through the same body-conscious lens.

At its core, the mission stays the same: give men more ways to feel comfortable, and confident, in their own skin.

“Real confidence feels effortless,” Samuel says. “When something fits right, you stop thinking about it. And that’s when people notice.”

As the brand continues to grow, SAMMY is making one thing clear: men’s fashion doesn’t have to choose between comfort and confidence. With SS26, it’s proving you can have both, and maybe show a little more while you’re at it.
