Pop icon and queer trailblazer Troye Sivan may be gearing up for what could be his next major musical chapter. According to longtime collaborator Leland, there are “some bucket list things” in motion that the duo expect to announce in the “next couple months.”
“There’s some bucket list things that I’ve been really looking forward to that I think they’ll probably be able to be announced in the next couple months,” Leland said in a recent interview with Gayety at MISTR’s National Prep Day at The Abbey.

“This has been a fun year of writing with Troye, which is always one of my favorite things to do, where we just get to spend time together and write songs. So we’re just continuing to do that. And I love that chapter because then once that chapter ends, of course I’m tagging along and hanging out as he’s promoting and releasing music.

He went on to add, “But this is a really special chapter where it gets to be just kind of slow and quiet. And it’s not go all the time, but it’ll come. It always does, which is fine.”

Leland’s comments not only confirm that Sivan has been writing but also suggest a possible rollout timeline that fans have been waiting for, particularly after the success of Sivan’s third studio album, Something to Give Each Other (2023). That record, widely praised for its unapologetically queer themes of sex, dance, sweat, community and love, established Sivan as a bold voice in contemporary pop culture.

While no official release date or title has been shared, several clues point to what we might expect: Sivan previously said he’s “really inspired by sex” heading into his next project. His last album leaned deeply into queer euphoria, physicality, and community celebration; this next chapter may push further. The duo’s emphasis on writing together may also suggest more personal, perhaps even experimental material.
