The romance is messier, the stakes are higher, and the gestures are bigger than ever in XO, Kitty Season 3.

Starring Anna Cathcart, Sang Heon Lee, Gia Kim, Choi Min-yeong, and Anthony Keyvan, the Netflix hit returns with Kitty Song Covey diving headfirst into her final year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul. But if you thought she had love figured out, think again.

Season 2 ended with Kitty making a bold move toward Min Ho, asking if she could join him on his family’s world tour. Luckily, Season 3 picks up right where we left off, setting the tone for a whirlwind new chapter. As showrunner Valentina Garza shared with Tudum, “this season is very much about Kitty learning that life rarely goes as planned,” adding that sometimes you have to “let life surprise you.”

And yes, that includes love.

Kitty and Min Ho Enter Their Most Chaotic Era Yet

This season leans fully into the will-they-or-won’t-they energy between Kitty and Min Ho. From a glamorous yacht trip to Busan to the emotional ups and downs of senior year, their connection is front and center.

When we caught up with Cathcart and Lee, we had to ask the ultimate rom-com question. What is more romantic, an airport confession or watching the sunrise together?

Cathcart did not hesitate.

“Airport confessions. Anybody can watch a sunrise together,” she said. “Immediately cinematic, immediately romantic. I hope that can happen in my real life.”

Lee, however, is thinking long term.

“I think I’m going to go with the sunset,” he explained, pointing out that airport confessions can be risky. “If it doesn’t go well… that’s a very awkward flight.

“I feel like sunsets or sunrises, it’s romantic. It’s nice. And there’s always that moment of silence you both can enjoy because it’s a beautiful setting, and less is more. So also after sunrise or sunset, you can go off somewhere, have food, wherever, go somewhere nice. Even if it doesn’t turn out well. An airplane? I’m not sure about that.”

Honestly, totally valid. We’ve watched Min Ho chase Kitty to the airport more than once now, and it definitely does not get easier each time.

Meanwhile, Kitty is out here living every rom-com fantasy we’ve ever dreamed of.

“Within literally two years, she’s gotten two airport confessions. She’s kind of living the life,” Cathcart joked.

Expect Big Drama, Bigger Feelings, and a Little Bit of Chaos

Season 3 follows Kitty as she tries to map out the perfect senior year, from strengthening friendships to figuring out her future. But between mixed signals, family expectations, and unexpected twists, nothing goes according to plan.

Which is exactly the point.

With its mix of K-drama fantasy and grounded coming-of-age storytelling, XO, Kitty continues to deliver the kind of romantic chaos fans cannot get enough of.

And as for Kitty and Min Ho? You will just have to watch to see if that airport-level romance finally lands.
