Country-pop breakout Dasha isn’t slowing down. Hot off her record-breaking hit “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’),” the rising star is back with a new project that’s as personal as it is ambitious. Her upcoming EP Anna arrives October 10, and it’s the first installment of a two-part story that redefines her artistry.
A World Called “Dashville”
More than just an EP, Anna is a cinematic experience. Each track invites listeners deeper into “Dashville,” the fictional universe Dasha has been building across her releases. Songs like “Oh Anna!,” “Not At This Party,” “Train,” and “Like It Like That” paint the portrait of a young dreamer clawing her way toward success, setting the stage for the cultural explosion that followed with “Austin.”
“This record is about the girl I used to be—the one who never stopped chasing,” Dasha says. “It’s about giving her the credit for everything that came after.”
The “Work On Me” Video
To celebrate the EP announcement, Dasha dropped the music video for “Work On Me,” a sultry visual that blends playful flirtation with fixing up cars.
“I’m a little broken baby, could you work on me? / My heart’s been through the mud, a couple assholes before you kinda f**ked me up / I don’t even know your first and last name, baby.”
Like Dasha’s last release, “Like it Like That,” it’s all about living in the moment. Catch the fun music video below.
A Career on Fire
Dasha’s breakout track “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)” has now gone platinum 40x in the U.S. and across 17 countries. She recently wrapped her sold-out debut headline tour and spent the summer opening for Thomas Rhett. With more than 1 billion streams under her belt, she’s also earned major accolades like Song of the Year at the People’s Choice Country Awards.
What’s Next
Anna is just the beginning. As part one of a two-part series, the EP lays the foundation for what promises to be Dasha’s boldest era yet. Stay tuned for more!
