Demi Lovato is ready to rock!
Get ready for a whole new Demi Lovato album, the rock version. The “Still Alive” singer has recently been recording and releasing a new version of their top tracks with a more rockin’ sound. Now, the artist has announced an entire album filled with remixes titled, Revamped.
They said the idea is inspired by their time on stage, where they put a new spin on some of their songs during their live performances.
“The fans loved it,” they told Rolling Stone. “When I got home from tour, I was like, ‘Why don’t I just record those versions and release them?”
So far, Lovato has released “Cool for the Summer,” “Heart Attack,” and a killer version of “Sorry Not Sorry” featuring a guitar solo from Slash.
“Breathing new life into the songs that played such a huge role in my career has allowed me to feel so much closer to my music than ever before,” they wrote on Instagram.
When it came to bringing Slash onto the project, best known as the lead guitarist of the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, Lovato said there really was no other option.
“When we were thinking about who would sound f**king rad on this song, there’s only one person that came to mind, and that was Slash,” they said.
What to Expect From Revamped
Revamped, which will release later this summer, will have ten tracks. In addition to the already released songs, we know “Tell Me You Love Me” and “Give Your Heart a Break,” will also be featured.
“Getting to perform [‘Give Your Heart a Break’] live after not performing it in so long felt really good,” Lovato recalled about their time on tour. “The crowd was happy, and that’s what it’s all about. It has to come from inside: If you just think about what the audience wants, you sometimes ignore what your needs are, and it takes the fun out of it when you’re only catering to other people.”
Revamped will release on September 15.
