Glenn Close walked the New York premiere of “All’s Fair” season 2 on Monday, Nov. 2, with her own drag double. Alexis Stone, the British drag artist, came in full prosthetic makeup as Close. The two wore the same frayed-hem skirt suit from Matières Fécales’ spring 2027 collection, with black leather gloves and tall black boots, W Magazine reported. The carpet was at Crane Club in Manhattan, Just Jared reported.
Stone has been Close before. A few years back, Stone showed up at a fashion show in Paris as Close’s Cruella de Vil from 1996’s live-action “101 Dalmatians,” Just Jared noted. Close’s “blessing to take on this project was beyond a dream come true,” Stone wrote on Instagram back then.
Monday’s version went all the way to the hair. Stone’s short blonde wig and dangling earrings lined up with what Close had on, Entertainment Now noted.
Who Is Alexis Stone, Glenn Close’s Drag Double?
Stone grew up in Brighton, England, and left at 16. After years in other cities, Manchester and New York among them, the artist settled in Glasgow, Scotland, CNN reported in July 2025. “When I was a kid, I loved being unrecognizable, wearing wigs, fat suits and clip-in teeth, and I think that naturally evolved,” Stone told the network.
The breakout came at Balenciaga’s March 2022 show, which Stone attended as Robin Williams’ Mrs. Doubtfire, according to CNN. Other faces have included Madonna and Jack Nicholson. “Brands love to be part of these viral stunts,” Stone said.
Every look takes a crew. “There’s always an army of at least 10 people helping me,” Stone said. Some faces are off the table, though. “I’m a six-foot-tall muscly man, so as much as I would love to be Kylie Jenner, there are physical limitations,” Stone told CNN. (Close, clearly, made the cut.)
Close knows a thing or two about disappearing into a role. She’s nearly unrecognizable as Drusilla Sickle in the new “Hunger Games” prequel.
Glenn Close on Kim Kardashian and Sarah Paulson’s Giggle Fits
Close spent part of Monday night with Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash-Betts, talking to Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi. Talk turned to who causes trouble on set, and Close named Kardashian. “There was one time where they couldn’t stop laughing, and it was really late at night,” Close said.
Paulson remembered how Close took it. “Glenn put her head down on the table like, ‘Please, please I’m begging you.'”
“It was like we had been at that conference table for like 11 hours or however long it was… days,” Close said.
Nash-Betts knows the routine. “Once they get started, you got at least 30 minutes before they can calm back down,” she said. Paulson wasn’t apologizing. “And we’re not sorry about it, either,” she said.
Kardashian chimed in. “In front of Glenn Close was, like, so nerve-racking ’cause I’m like, ‘She’s never gonna want to work with me again.'” Watts went further on Kardashian. “Blew us all off the screen,” Watts said.
When Does ‘All’s Fair’ Season 2 Come Out on Hulu?
Critics panned season 1 last fall. Close answered with an Instagram sketch labeled “Critic-bunny stew,” Parade reported at the time. (Yes, she played the bunny boiler in 1987’s “Fatal Attraction.”)
Season 2 leans into drag. Lady Bunny and Bob the Drag Queen are among the guest stars Gayety flagged when the season 2 trailer dropped. Close is back as Dina Standish in Ryan Murphy’s show.
Kardashian has her own read on season 1. “Last season, we thought we were serious. We didn’t know that we were a comedy,” she told Variety, as W noted. Hulu streams the first three episodes on Wednesday, Nov. 4, TheWrap reported.
