The first trailer for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma has officially arrived, teasing a wild, sensual, and blood-soaked slasher from filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow). Starring Hannah Einbinder (Hacks) and Gillian Anderson, the upcoming horror film looks like a surreal collision of queer desire, obsession, fear, and camp. Plus, we get a good look at the new killer, Little Death!

The film’s meta plot description reads: “After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director for resurrection. But when she visits the original movie’s star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium.”

But beneath all the gore and chaos, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is reaching for something deeper. The film explores themes of self-discovery, sexuality, pleasure, and desire, blending emotional awakening with masked killers, camp carnage, and surreal horror imagery.

Einbinder stars as Kris, a filmmaker obsessed with rebooting the fictional Camp Miasma franchise, while Anderson plays Billy Preston, the mysterious former scream queen who disappeared from Hollywood years earlier. The trailer hints at an intoxicating relationship between the two women as fantasy and reality spiral into something dangerous.

“I was just thinking about what it’s gonna feel like,” Billy says in the trailer.

“Losing your virginity?”

“No, dying.”

The cast also includes Amanda Fix, Arthur Conti, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Patrick Fischler, Dylan Baker, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Quintessa Swindell, Kevin McDonald, Jess McLeod, and Jack Haven.
