Stranger Things star and musician Joe Keery (aka Djo) is putting his money where his music is. The actor-turned-artist donated $1 from every ticket sold on his Another Bite Tour to The Ally Coalition, a nonprofit that supports LGBTQ+ youth.

The organization, founded by Jack and Rachel Antonoff, partners with musicians to promote equality and create safe spaces for queer fans. The artists they partner with use their platforms to raise awareness of the systemic inequalities facing the LGBTQ population and activate prominent members of the creative community and their fan bases to engage with these issues in meaningful and impactful ways.

In a TikTok post, The Ally Coalition thanked Keery for his contribution, writing, “We’re so grateful to Djo and his entire team for their support, and congratulations on an incredible tour.”

Speaking in the video, Keery shared his motivation behind the donation:

“I support The Ally Coalition, and I’m happy to be a part of it and bring awareness to a safe space for people to be themselves,” he said. “It’s been a year filled with a lot of change and growth. Hopefully the dollars help other people.”

We had the privilege of speaking with @Djo before his last show of tour at The Greek Theatre in LA. Djo donated $1 per ticket sold to TAC on his “Another Bite Tour” in support of LGBTQ+ youth. We’re so grateful to Djo and his entire team for their support, and congratulations on an incredible tour ❤️

The Ally Coalition’s mission is simple but urgent: while the LGBTQ+ community has made huge strides toward equality, queer youth still face alarming rates of bullying, depression, and violence. Dozens of states introduced anti-LGBTQ+ laws last year alone, making support networks like TAC more vital than ever.

To fight back, TAC activates fans and artists alike. The group has joined forces with touring acts such as boygenius, Remi Wolf, Lizzy McAlpine, and Bleachers to raise awareness and action at shows across North America and Europe. They’ve also rallied hundreds of artists, including Lady Gaga, Elton John, and Ariana Grande, to push for federal protections like the Equality Act, and their annual Talent Show in NYC has featured performances from icons like Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, and Hayley Kiyoko.

What’s Next For Keery

Keery has spent much of 2025 on the road promoting his third studio album, The Crux, released in April. The Another Bite Tour wrapped at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre earlier this month. He’s now likely gearing up for press for his return as Steve Harrington in Stranger Things 5. The final season begins streaming November 26, with new episodes dropping across the holidays through January 1, 2026.
