However, weather warnings disrupted these plans, leading to unexpected chaos.

Riverstage promised to hand out numbered wristbands at 9:30 AM on the concert day for a 5:15 PM entry. But, as the Brisbane Times reports, things went awry when “golden” wristbands for priority entry were given to those who arrived a day early, breaking the initial rules. This move sparked a frenzy among the fans.

The situation escalated as 2000 new fans swarmed the venue for the 500 available blue-numbered wristbands. She recounted a particularly distressing moment where a mother lost her young daughters in the chaos.

“Especially in TV, you meet a lot of people… Pedro Pascal was someone we met [for a role on Looking] and from that, I put him on Narcos,” she explained to GQ. “The thing with Pedro, it was like he was testing on a million things. So many of these things, as you know in casting, it’s just like scheduling. Does scheduling work? Does the group? Because in this, we were really casting a group.”

“All the plans that I had made when I thought we weren’t coming back, I just wasn’t willing to change those. I would have had to pump the brakes on multiple other projects that are already in process. We had mentally just prepared ourselves to move on — that’s why I left.”

With Berk not re-signing, Queer Eye is losing a key member, but his design magic and inspiring personal journey have left an indelible mark on the show and its fans.
