The voices behind Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters are finally stepping out of the recording booth and onto the stage. HUNTR/X, the fictional girl group that’s become a real-world sensation, will perform live together for the very first time on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Oct. 7.

EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, and REI AMI, who lend their vocals to characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, will deliver their chart-smashing single “Golden,” which has held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks straight. They are also the first girl group to top the chart in 24 years, following Destiny’s Child in 2001 with “Bootylicious.”

The trio will also join Fallon for an interview on the couch, sharing the spotlight with fellow guest Jennifer Lopez.

The moment marks a huge milestone for the project. Since its June premiere, KPop Demon Hunters has become a global pop culture phenomenon, with the soundtrack not only topping the Billboard 200 but also producing multiple Hot 100 entries including “How It’s Done,” “What It Sounds Like,” and “Takedown.” It’s the first film soundtrack to claim the No. 1 album spot since Encanto back in 2022.

In K-Pop Demon Hunters, a trio of K-pop idols use their secret identities to protect their fans from supernatural threats. But behind the magical fight scenes and music-driven mayhem lies a much deeper message about identity, shame, and self-acceptance. It’s no surprise the film quickly gained a dedicated fanbase, with people already buzzing about a potential sequel. The mix of fantasy, camp, and K-pop spectacle left viewers wanting more, and social media has been filled with theories, fan art, and demands for round two. While Netflix hasn’t confirmed anything yet, the appetite for more demon-slaying divas is undeniable.

Whether or not a follow-up film arrives, the Tonight Show performance ensures HUNTR/X is stepping into a new era, one where their music doesn’t just live on streaming platforms, but electrifies a live audience too.
