The queens of Drag Race are trading workroom wigs for emergency whistles in Stop! That! Train!, a camp-filled action comedy starring RuPaul Charles and directed by Adam Shankman. Bleecker Street will release the drag disaster spectacle in North American theaters on May 29, 2026.

Produced by World of Wonder, the film transforms the drag competition universe into a high-speed blockbuster. RuPaul is joined by Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Latrice Royale, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Monét X Change, and Symone, promising a lineup fans already know how to root for, and occasionally lip-sync against.

Glamazonian Express Takes Flight (and Possibly Derails)

The story follows train stewardesses Tess (Minj) and DeeDee (Jujubee), who ditch their mundane shifts on a train mysteriously nicknamed “Stank Rail” to work aboard the more extravagant Glamazonian Express. Their dreams of glamour derail quickly when a catastrophic weather event, lovingly named a “Stormganza,” threatens to send the express off track.

To prevent disaster, Tess and DeeDee team up with the flashy first-class attendants (Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia, and Symone) and none other than President Gagwell, played by RuPaul. Together, they must save the passengers, protect their lashes, and keep the drama on schedule.

Drag Race Meets Disaster Movie

The film builds out the Drag Race universe, exchanging runway challenges for survival missions and presidential decree. Think Speed, but with sequins, shade, safety vests, and a lip-sync for your life that actually involves saving lives.

Director Adam Shankman called the filming experience “a joy,” praising the cast’s timing, commitment, and glamor. “If you’re not howling, you might be made of coal,” Shankman joked, promising laughs, chaos, and cameos.
