In an Instagram Story posted on May 5, Katya Zamolodchikova and Trixie Mattel shared disappointing news with fans, revealing that their upcoming comedy show has been officially postponed.

“We are sorry to announce that our Netflix is a Joke Festivale show on May 9th must be postponed as Katya focuses on her health and recovery following a medical procedure,” it read. “Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding.”

Health Updates

Recently, Katya shared a hospital selfie on social media with the caption, “Girl I’m in body jail #hellonearth.” She followed up that post with another update, saying, “Everyone gets sick. (Almost) everybody gets old. And every one dies.”

On May 1, the RuPaul’s Drag Race star reassured followers that she was recovering while thanking them for the flood of support and birthday messages. “Happy this day to the divas helping gran get her can out the hospital. Thank you for the bday and get well wishes. I will do just that it seems” she wrote alongside a photo celebrating International Labor Day.

The annual Netflix Is a Joke Fest has once again turned Los Angeles into comedy central, bringing together some of the biggest names in stand-up, sketch comedy, podcasts, music, and drag for a week packed with live events across the city.
