Unlike many other hotels that feel like a daily pitstop on your adventures, The Hoxton is a space you want to enjoy. Morning to night, work to play — literally all day.
A Space Built for Remote Workers
Many of us know the struggle of balancing remote work when traveling. We have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world, but will it have Wi-Fi? A place to sit? Something to snack on? Surprisingly, that answer is often no.
Whether you’re hopping on a Zoom call or editing content, The Hoxton, Chicago, offers the perfect setup for getting work done during your stay. The lobby is just an aesthetic space for social content; it’s designed with community in mind. Whether as a space to sort through emails, a meeting spot with coworkers, or an after-office hours location for happy hour.
With plush seating, ample outlets, and a laid-back vibe, it’s easy to flow from grabbing a coffee to content creation to leading a virtual team meeting without missing a beat or moving locations.
Looking for a more structured workspace? We get it — so does The Hoxton! Which is why the hotel offers co-working spaces through its partnership with Working From_, a members-only workspace that blends the comforts of a hotel with the productivity of a modern office. Not only are there private desks, dedicated Wi-Fi, print stations, and soundproof booths, but Working From_ offers bottomless coffee to keep you energized during your workday.
Built-In Social Life: Bars, Bites & a Speakeasy
When the workday wraps, The Hoxton invites you to unwind in one of its several on-site restaurants or bars.
- Cira: A Mediterranean-inspired restaurant perfect for brunch with colleagues or dinner with friends.
- Cabra: A rooftop Peruvian concept by Top Chef winner Stephanie Izard, complete with Chicago skyline views.
- Lazy Bird: A sexy, subterranean speakeasy tucked beneath the hotel, offering craft cocktails and live music in a moody, intimate setting.
And unlike other hotels, which can seem a little too … buttoned-up (stuffy, cough cough). The Hoxton comes alive at night with locals and travelers blending conversation in the lobby bar, giving it the electric atmosphere of a neighborhood mainstay.
It’s the perfect place to meet friends for a drink, strike up a conversation with fellow creatives, or unwind without the pressure to go off property.
Time to Recharge
For those who like to start their day with a sweat (or detox from a night of cocktails), The Hoxton’s gym is stocked with everything you need to keep up with your workout routine. And your wellness routine doesn’t stop there. After your workout, cool down with a post-sweat soak in the rooftop pool or just get your daily dose of vitamin D while lounging under the Chicago sky.
Inclusivity That Isn’t an Afterthought
At a time when LGBTQ+ travelers are increasingly cautious about where they spend their time and money, The Hoxton is a beacon of conscious hospitality. A standard and daily practice, the company prioritizes across all its properties.
The hotel brand is known for its inclusive ethos, creating welcoming environments for queer travelers, BIPOC communities, and all walks of life. And it shows. From the engaging hotel staff, to the art installations across the property, but especially in the diverse guests filling the spaces. The Hoxton is a space that attracts creatives, thinkers, doers, and lovers of all kinds.
Choosing a stay where you feel safe and celebrated isn’t just a perk — it’s a priority for The Hoxton. Whether in Chicago or one of their other cities, The Hoxton checks that box, making it an immediate “yes” for LGBTQ+ travelers.

Gayety Goes to The Hoxton
The Hoxton, Chicago, strikes that rare balance between business and pleasure as well as comfort and creativity. We aren’t just writing about it; we experienced it.
During our stay at The Hoxton, Chicago, we were so impressed by the energy, intention, and attention to detail. In most cities, the hotel is the last place you want to hang out. But that’s not the case at The Hoxton. We actually wanted to sit, stay, and experience everything the hotel had to offer. From our early morning lattes from the cafe to late-night espresso martinis in the speakeasy, every element felt curated and elevated, without being pretentious.
One night after an offsite meeting, we came back to a packed lobby bar—packed in the best way. It was alive with energy, laughter, and conversation. It felt cinematic, like something out of a classic film, when hotel lobbies were the heart of a city’s social life.
That was our experience every night.
