Chappell Roan, the rising queer pop sensation, isn’t here for your entitlement.
After her rise into the mainstream spotlight, with recognition from industry legends, Roan is making it clear how she expects to be treated—both online and in public. Like a human being.
TikTok Truth Bombs
On August 19, Roan took to TikTok to deliver a no-nonsense message to her fans about respecting boundaries. The Good Luck, Babe! singer didn’t mince words, making it clear that she’s had enough of the stalking, harassment, and general creepiness that some fans seem to think comes with the territory of being famous.
“Would you yell at a random woman on the street? Would you harass her from your car window? Roan challenged her followers, “Would you be mad if she said no to a photo? Think about that for a second.” Her frustration was palpable, and honestly, who can blame her? Just because someone’s in the public eye doesn’t mean they owe you their time—or their personal space.

In a follow-up video, Roan doubled down, addressing the twisted sense of entitlement that some people feel toward celebrities. “I don’t care that abuse, harassment, and stalking are ‘normal’ things people do to famous folks. That doesn’t make it okay, that doesn’t make it normal, and it doesn’t mean I want it,” she said, dropping truth bombs left and right.
Roan’s message was crystal clear: “I don’t give a f*** if you think it’s selfish for me to say no to a photo, a hug, or your time. That’s not normal. That’s weird.”
Respect Chappell Roan’s Boundaries
She’s right—just because you’ve seen someone online or connected with their art doesn’t mean you know them or have the right to invade their space. Chappell Roan is here to make music, not to be anyone’s property. And it’s time everyone respects that.
