Charli XCX is taking center stage in her new A24 mockumentary The Moment, and the first full trailer just dropped. Following last month’s teaser, the clip dives deeper into the film’s playful lampooning of the so-called “Brat era,” showing Charli navigating fame, erratic advice, and the eccentric personalities that orbit her career.

Directed by Aidan Zamiri, The Moment features Charli as a fictionalized version of herself preparing for her arena tour debut. The trailer opens with her character already fed up with the “cringe” aspects of Brat-era fame, while her label and a high-energy director, played by Alexander Skarsgård, push to capitalize on every flashy trend.

Star-Studded Chaos

The trailer is packed with cameos and supporting performances that add layers of satire and bite. Rosanna Arquette plays a label executive whose children adore Charli’s album, embodying the tension between corporate interests and pop culture trends. Rachel Sennott drops sharp, possibly accidental digs at Brat-brand deals, while Hailey Benton Gates, Kate Berlant, and Jamie Demetriou appear as part of Charli’s eccentric entourage. Even Kylie Jenner weighs in, offering tongue-in-cheek guidance: when the public starts to tire of you, that’s when you must stay visible.

The trailer portrays a world where every friend, executive, and influencer is a potential obstacle, or comic relief, for Charli as she balances her ambitions with the absurdity of fame. It’s part mockumentary, part pop-culture satire, and full of irreverent energy.

Sundance and Theatrical Release

The Moment will premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in Park City from Jan. 22 to Feb. 1, joining two other Charli XCX-featured films: Olivia Wilde’s The Gallerist and Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex. A24 confirmed the movie will hit theaters nationwide on Jan. 30, giving fans a full look at Charli’s playful take on the highs and lows of pop stardom.

For fans of pop satire and mockumentary antics, The Moment promises a mix of sharp humor, wild visual gags, and a behind-the-scenes peek at the machinery of fame, Brat-era style.
