The Drag Race universe just got bigger. On Aug. 26, Australian streaming platform Stan confirmed that Drag Race Down Under is getting its very own Vs the World spin-off. That means queens from Australia and New Zealand will soon face international competitors for the crown.

Michelle Visage Takes the Lead

Michelle Visage will continue as host following her season 4 debut in that role. She’ll be joined by returning judge Rhys Nicholson and new panelist Lazy Susan, the reigning champion from season four.

Visage celebrated the news with her trademark enthusiasm, writing: “MAMA’S HERE” and promising fans she’s “beyond thrilled” to guide the series into this next chapter. “I can’t wait to see the very best in drag that the globe has to offer,” she added.

What This Means for Fans

A Vs the World season offers a chance for regional queens to gain international recognition. Past versions, like UK vs the World and Canada vs the World, have delivered fan-favorite rivalries, unexpected eliminations, and unforgettable lip syncs. With Down Under now entering the ring, fans can expect a mix of humor, heart, and cultural flavor unique to Australasian drag.

The franchise’s global reach continues to grow, and this spin-off could cement Down Under as a key stop in the Drag Race legacy. If alumni reactions are any clue, the competition will be fierce and international fans are already watching closely.
