Multiplatinum pop icon Hilary Duff is back with her sixth studio album, luck… or something, officially released today via Atlantic Records. Produced by Duff’s husband, GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter Matthew Koma and Brian Phillips, the 11-track collection showcases a mix of introspective storytelling and bright pop sensibilities, including the previously released singles “Mature” and “Roommates.” The album arrives with a visual for the opening track, “Weather For Tennis,” setting the tone for Duff’s reflective yet playful new era.
Choosing Herself: The Making of luck… or something
Duff told Rolling Stone that creating the album required balancing motherhood, marriage, and personal ambition. “There’s that question of whether women can have it all,” she said. “Through this process, I learned I had to sacrifice some things to put the record first. Carving out the time to make an album after all these years was incredibly powerful for me.”
The album explores the intersections of Duff’s 30s, self-discovery, quiet insecurities, and life’s unexpected turns—while maintaining her signature wit and charm. “The album title is my way of answering how I’ve stayed sane in this industry,” Duff explained.
Singles Making Waves
Mature, the first single, received praise from Vogue for pushing Duff’s sound in new directions while still feeling unmistakably hers. Inspired by romantic misadventures from her formative years, the track blends sardonic humor with pop gloss. Its accompanying music video, directed by Lauren Dunn (Olivia Rodrigo, Dove Cameron), has already earned nearly 4 million views on YouTube.
The second single, Roommates, is climbing Pop and Hot AC radio charts and has been lauded by Billboard, V Magazine, and Rolling Stone, the latter calling it “10 out of 10… one of her best songs.” The video, directed by Matty Peacock (Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande), has surpassed 2 million views.
The Lucky Me Tour
Duff is marking her return to the stage with the Lucky Me Tour, her first headline tour in nearly 20 years. The tour spans seven countries, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, beginning June 21-22 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Due to overwhelming fan demand, additional shows have been added in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, London, Vancouver, and Mexico City.
Notable stops include the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, Madison Square Garden in New York, The O2 in London, Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, and Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. Support acts for the 2026 tour include GRAMMY-winning La Roux and Jade LeMac, while Lauren Spencer Smith will join Duff for the 2027 Canadian dates.
Last weekend, Duff kicked off pre-tour celebrations with sold-out shows at the Voltaire at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, following her “Small Rooms, Big Nerves” tour, a series of intimate headline shows sold out within hours.
A Career of Reinvention
Duff rose to fame as the titular star of Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire, and transitioned into music with 2003’s Metamorphosis, which went four-times platinum. She followed with 2004’s platinum self-titled album and 2007’s Dignity. Collectively, those three releases have sold 15 million copies worldwide.
In addition to her music career, Duff is an accomplished actress, producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and New York Times-bestselling author. Her latest album marks her first studio project since 2015’s Breathe In. Breathe Out., which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
