I could feel the giddy energy pulsing through my body as I settled into my seat at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre for Jessie Ware’s Superbloom Tour. I’ve always been mesmerized by her effortless vocals and the way she blends disco and funk with a nostalgic flair that never takes away from her pop sensibilities. Seeing that combination come to life onstage? I was ready for a night out.
And Jessie delivered.
The British singer’s latest tour supports her sixth studio album, Superbloom, released April 17, 2026. It’s her most ambitious headline run to date, with North American dates running Oct. 5-20 before the tour heads across Europe and the U.K. For the Los Angeles crowd, the Greek Theatre made for a fitting setting to spend an evening with one of pop’s reigning disco queens.
Jessie Ware Knows How To Make An Entrance
As soon as Jessie opened with the album’s titular track, I was reminded of what makes her such a captivating performer. She has a commanding stage presence paired with an almost ethereal quality, and her voice demands more than a passing listen. You feel it.
There’s a certain confidence in the way Jessie performs. She doesn’t need to oversell a moment or fight for the audience’s attention. She knows what she brings to the stage, and she lets the music do its thing. Between her vocals and the groove running through the set, it was easy to see why she’s maintained such a devoted following throughout her career.
The production also gave the music room to shine. Jessie was joined by a fabulous group of dancers whose movements added a playful spark to the show. They brought extra personality to the songs and made the transitions between performances feel like part of the party rather than a pause in it.
And the wardrobe deserves a moment of its own. Jessie was dressed to the nines in chic gowns and stylish accessories, serving the kind of glamour that feels right at home in a disco-inspired world. Every outfit added to the spectacle without distracting from the woman commanding the stage.
‘Mr. Valentine’ Had Me Out Of My Seat
Now, let’s talk about Mr. Valentine.
As one of my favorite tracks from the new album, I was already waiting for this song to make its appearance. When it finally arrived, I erupted into shouts and started jumping. Body rolls quickly followed, if you wanted to know. No judgment, please. I was having a great time.
The track gave Jessie the perfect opportunity to show off her swagger and charm. She played up the lyrics, hit those big notes and kept the energy moving without missing a beat. Meanwhile, the dancers brought even more life to the performance.
It was one of those moments when you realize you’re not simply watching an artist perform songs you love. You’re right there in it, singing along and moving your body before you’ve even thought about whether anyone around you is watching.
Jessie had the crowd in the palm of her hand, and she knew exactly how to keep us there. The set never felt like a series of isolated performances. She carried that momentum from song to song, giving the audience plenty of reasons to stay on its feet.
A Disco Queen With A Sense Of Humor
One of my favorite things about the evening was getting to see Jessie’s personality come through between songs.
She took time to interact with the crowd, and her sense of humor was just as delightful as I’d hoped. There was an ease to the way she spoke to the audience that made the massive stage feel a little more intimate. She wasn’t just delivering a polished performance and moving on to the next number; she was enjoying the night right alongside everyone else.
That grounded quality is endearing. Jessie can command a stage with the confidence of a pop superstar, then turn around and make you feel like you’re sharing a laugh with someone who would be a blast to have at dinner.
It’s a winning combination. The vocals are there, the production is gorgeous, and the personality behind it all gives the audience another reason to fall for her.
From ‘Say You Love Me’ To ‘Free Yourself’
The evening also made room for the kind of emotional moments that remind you Jessie’s catalog stretches well beyond the dance floor.
Her performance of “Say You Love Me,” one of her biggest hits, was a standout among the night’s more powerful ballads. After all that disco energy, hearing her deliver a song that puts her voice front and center was a welcome reminder of her range.
Jessie doesn’t have to choose between making you dance and making you feel something. She can do both, and the shift in mood gave the set a satisfying balance.
Then came the finale: “Free Yourself,” her smash hit from 2023’s That! Feels Good! album.
If there was ever a song to close out a Jessie Ware concert, this was it. The track’s call to embrace your truest self sent the crowd into the final stretch on its feet, dancing and singing along. The energy was electric, and it felt like everyone was determined to squeeze every last bit of joy out of the evening before the lights came up.
For a Gayety audience that knows a thing or two about the importance of being yourself, the song was a particularly satisfying way to end the night. There was no need to overthink it. We were there to have fun, celebrate the music and enjoy a performer who knows how to bring people together.
Is Jessie Ware’s ‘Superbloom’ Tour Worth Seeing?
My answer is an enthusiastic yes.
Jessie Ware’s Superbloom Tour delivered everything I wanted from a night with the disco-pop favorite: a commanding vocalist, dancers who elevated the production, standout fashion and enough personality to make the evening feel personal. Her newer material fit comfortably alongside the songs that have made her such a beloved artist, while the ballads offered a welcome change of pace.
I left the Greek Theatre with a big smile, plenty of songs stuck in my head and absolutely no regrets about the body rolls. It was a memorable, wonderfully fun night with Jessie, and one I’ll hold dear.
We love our disco queen.
