Country star and longtime LGBTQ+ ally Maren Morris is heading to Washington, D.C. this summer as the official headliner of the 2026 Capital Pride Concert.
The annual celebration, organized by Capital Pride Alliance, will take over Pennsylvania Avenue NW on Sunday, June 21, bringing together music, queer talent, activism, and community for one of the city’s biggest Pride events of the year.
Joining Morris on the lineup are masked rapper Leikeli47, freestyle and pop legend Lisa Lisa, Canadian producer and DJ Harrison, and Myki Meeks, fresh off their win on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 18.
A Pride Lineup Built for 2026
This year’s concert arrives during a tense political climate for LGBTQ+ communities across the United States, something Capital Pride Alliance leadership addressed directly while announcing the lineup.
“In a moment when LGBTQ+ people are being challenged across the country, the Capital Pride Concert is a space where our community is fully seen and heard,” Capital Pride Alliance CEO Ryan Bos said in a statement.
Bos also tied Morris’ appearance to this year’s Capital Pride theme, “Exist. Resist. Have the Audacity!,” a slogan designed to encourage visibility and self-expression during a time when queer rights remain under attack in several states.
Morris has increasingly become one of country music’s most vocal LGBTQ+ supporters in recent years. From publicly criticizing anti-trans rhetoric to advocating for inclusivity within country music spaces, the singer has built a devoted queer fanbase that extends far beyond Nashville.
Her appearance at Capital Pride feels especially fitting given the event’s focus on artists who push culture forward while creating space for marginalized voices.
More Than Just a Concert
While the concert serves as the marquee attraction, the Capital Pride Festival itself will run from noon to 10 p.m. and feature programming across multiple stages throughout the day.
Festivalgoers can expect live performances from local LGBTQ+ artists, community exhibitors, food vendors, beverage gardens, and artisan markets spread throughout the festival footprint in downtown Washington.
After the main stage performances wrap, organizers will keep the energy going with the “Capitol Sunset Dance Party,” offering attendees one last celebration against the backdrop of the U.S. Capitol.
The event remains free to the public, though fans can also purchase access to premium viewing experiences including the Capitol Stage Pit Zone and VIP Concert Zone.
Maren Morris Continues Her LGBTQ+ Support
For many queer fans, Morris’ involvement is another reminder of how consistently she has shown up for the community.
Over the past few years, the Grammy winner has spoken out against anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, supported trans youth, and collaborated with queer artists while continuing to evolve her own sound beyond country radio expectations.
That crossover appeal makes her a strong fit for a Pride lineup designed to reflect different corners of queer culture — from rap and dance music to drag and pop nostalgia.
And with artists like Leikeli47 and Lisa Lisa sharing the stage, the 2026 Capital Pride Concert is shaping up to be less of a genre exercise and more of a full-on Pride party.
The 2026 Capital Pride Concert takes place Sunday, June 21, in Washington, D.C. Additional festival details and ticket information for premium viewing areas are expected to be available through the Capital Pride Alliance and Pride365 platforms.
