Netflix has revealed the trailer, key art, and cast profiles for Season 2 of The Boyfriend, and this time, the spotlight is firmly on the new men ready to open their hearts. Returning January 13 on Netflix, the beloved Japanese reality series introduces a diverse cast whose stories span ages, countries, and emotional starting points.
Set in snowy Hokkaido, Season 2 brings together ten men who will live, work, and fall (or falter) together over two winter months while running their peppermint-colored coffee truck. But before sparks fly, it all starts with who’s walking through the door.

Kazuyuki (40) – A telecom sales worker from Osaka navigating life after the end of a 15-year relationship, bringing steady older-brother warmth to the group.
Ryuki (20) – A university student from Osaka hoping to move forward from a painful past and begin a new chapter.
William (34) – An IT project manager from Peru who dreams of marriage but is still healing from heartbreak.
Together, they form one of the show’s most emotionally layered casts yet. Expect a mix of first loves, second chances, and cautious hope.
