Monét X Change has officially found her forever match.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star announced her engagement to Andy Short on Wednesday, Sept. 17, by sharing photos of the proposal on Instagram. The post opened with a close-up of Monét planting a kiss on Short’s cheek while showing off a diamond-studded band sparkling on her ring finger.

A Sunflower Surprise

The couple’s announcement didn’t stop at one snapshot. Monét included images of the romantic setup, which appeared to take place in a studio filled with sunflowers. In one picture, the pair embraced, while another captured Short lifting Monét in celebration.

Monét kept her caption short and sweet, writing, “Locked in 💍👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏾.”

On his own Instagram post, Short thanked friends who helped pull off the surprise, joking that the most important part was his fiancé saying yes. “My sweetie,” he wrote, followed by a note of gratitude to those who helped set the scene.

A Look Back at Their Relationship

While the couple has kept the early days of their relationship private, Short has given fans glimpses into their adventures together. His Instagram feed features snapshots of their vacations, including trips to Cancun in summer 2024 and Cabo that December.

The two also celebrated Valentine’s Day in 2023 with a post Short titled “Love Like This Pt. 1,” which featured gym selfies, cozy nights at home, and candid kisses.

What’s Next for Monét

Beyond wedding planning, Monét’s calendar is already packed. Known as the co-host of the hit podcast Sibling Rivalry with Bob the Drag Queen, she’s also appeared as a host on The Pit Stop, a fan-favorite Drag Race recap series.

Fans can look forward to seeing her compete on season four of The Traitors US and take part in the Survivor Influencer Experience, proving she’s as busy as ever while celebrating this new chapter in her personal life.

Monét X Change first made waves on season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race before sharing the crown as co-winner of All Stars 4. Now, with an engagement ring and a sunflower-filled “yes,” she’s adding another milestone to her already standout career.
