RAYE is officially turning the page on her next chapter.
The British singer-songwriter announced that her long-awaited sophomore album, This Music May Contain Hope, will arrive March 27 via Human Re Sources, solidifying a new era that’s already gaining momentum on charts and stages worldwide.
Unlike a standard tracklist rollout, RAYE is framing the album as a journey through four “seasons,” with each side of the vinyl tied to a different emotional phase. The concept, she says, reflects a desire to create something restorative rather than performative.
“I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world,” RAYE said in a statement. “I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right… I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”
A New Sound, Familiar Roots
The album announcement follows the breakout success of “Where Is My Husband!,” produced by Mike Sabath, which debuted earlier this year and quickly became RAYE’s biggest solo hit to date. The song reached No. 1 in the U.K. and peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a new commercial high while leaning into the jazz-forward influences that defined her debut.
Those stylistic threads trace back to My 21st Century Blues, the album that transformed RAYE from industry outsider to awards-season fixture. The project helped her make BRIT Awards history as the first artist to take home six trophies in a single year and featured the viral hit “Escapism” with 070 Shake.
Awards, Recognition, and What’s Next
RAYE’s momentum hasn’t slowed since. She earned two Grammy nominations in 2025, including best new artist and songwriter of the year, non-classical. More recently, the Recording Academy announced that “Ice Cream Man” will receive the 2026 Harry Belafonte Best Song for Social Change Award, with CEO Harvey Mason Jr. praising the track’s impact.
Even with the album still weeks away, RAYE has already launched a global tour. The run includes six sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena, performances at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, and a stop at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Her sisters, Absolutely and AMMA, are opening across select dates.
This summer, she’ll also join Bruno Mars as a special guest on The Romantic Tour, spanning 27 stadium shows across the U.S. Meanwhile, her Live at the Royal Albert Hall concert film is up for best music film at next month’s Grammy Awards.
This Music May Contain Hope is available for digital and physical pre-order now, and if the early signs are any indication, RAYE’s next season is just getting started.
