The ghosts of Split River High are no longer staying put… and honestly? They’re just getting started.
After that chilling Season 3 finale, School Spirits has officially been summoned back for another season. Good news for anyone (me) who needs answers, and for the Wally lovers who are still waiting for him to escape that eerie forest and find his way back to Maddie. These two are haunting me at this point.
School Spirits follows Maddie (Peyton List), a teen trapped in the afterlife after her mysterious disappearance. Stuck in a ghostly version of her high school, she sets out to uncover what really happened to her. But the deeper she digs, the darker it gets, pulling her into a twisted web of secrets, lies, and lingering spirits that refuse to rest.
Alongside List, the series features Kristian Ventura as Simon, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire, Josh Zuckerman as Mr. Martin, Maria Dizzia as Sandra, Ci Hang Ma as Quinn, Miles Elliot as Yuri, and Milo Manheim as Wally.
And yes, it’s only getting gayer in the best way. From Charley and Yuri’s romance to the slow-burn tension between Rhonda and Quinn, the series continues to expand its queer storylines with heart and chaos. Add in icons like Jennifer Tilly joining the mix, and the afterlife is feeling very full, and very fabulous.
Created by Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud, the show is also leaning harder into horror with each season. The stakes are higher, the scares are sharper, and just when this group thinks they’ve cracked the mystery… something even darker creeps in.
Let’s just say: no one in Split River is resting easy. And neither are we. Season 3 of School Spirits is streaming now on Paramount+.
