Meet Nicole Coenen aka the lesbian lumberjack. With nearly 2 million followers across her social platforms.

Nicole is an awarding-winning filmmaker, a loving dog mom, and a bit of a daredevil. In 2020, Nicole ditched city life to move to the Canadian mountains and she’s brought her fans along for the ride. As she chops. As she explores. And as she plunges into icy cold waters. Nicole also works for “Swim Drink Fish,” a non-profit with one shared goal: to ensure all water is swimmable, drinkable, and fishable. And this is not the only philanthropy Nicole is involved with.

She also volunteers with a small community-led group in the Southern Gulf Island of British Columbia. This group chops firewood, and then sells it to the community. The profits are then donated to worthy community initiatives. When she’s not volunteering, making films, or chopping wood, Nicole can be found working with metal.
