Charli XCX is stomping into fashion with serious attitude. The pop provocateur has officially teamed up with Converse to launch a limited-edition line of customizable shoes that blend punk chaos with DIY couture. In true BRAT fashion, it’s messy, bold, and unapologetically Charli.

The “Von dutch” singer revealed the capsule on Instagram, showcasing multiple designs that instantly feel like must-haves for every party girl, or brat, on the go.

Introducing BRAT-core Footwear

For her first look, Charli serves angelic-meets-anarchic energy. She sports a frilly white tank and skirt set, exuding early-2000s innocence, but the shoes steal the show. Her custom Converse high-tops are intentionally distressed in a faded gray-white hue, with heavy scuffing and tears. Scribbled on the sole? One powerful four-letter word: BRAT, a tribute to her critically acclaimed, era-defining album.

These are not your average fresh-out-the-box kicks. They’re battle-worn, rebellious, and ready for the pit (or the dancefloor).

Party Girl Essentials

Charli’s second look leans into laid-back cool. She pairs a gauzy white T-shirt dress with high-top Converse in a charcoal shade, this time bearing the phrase “PARTY GIRL” across the soles. It’s the kind of shoe built for long nights and louder music—practical, stylish, and not afraid to get a little dirty.

“I’ve always worn Converse,” Charli told NYLON. “I have an old pair of Converse that I got, God, I don’t even know, 10 years ago that have holes in them, and I love wearing them. It’s a classic, timeless shoe… I love pairing it with a classic item, whether that is a classic leather jacket or so mething that is a staple piece that doesn’t follow any type of trend cycle.”

Customizable Chaos

This isn’t just a drop, it’s a playground. Fans can build their own Charli-approved sneaker by swapping out colors, swapping text on the soles and sides, and choosing from hues like brown rice, gray lilac, and blue flower. Every pair comes with a lock-and-key charm on the heel tab for that extra touch of bratty flair.

Charli said the inspiration came from her deep-rooted love of Converse and desire to leave a personal stamp on something timeless. “It’s always reliable and always there. I have a few items like that in my wardrobe… and I wanted to have my own shoe. I wanted to make it more about me. Obviously.”

Designed with BRAT DNA

The sneakers are more than just merch, they’re an extension of Charli’s BRAT aesthetic. Subtle but powerful design details carry the chaotic spirit of the album, including the placement of slogans on the soles rather than the sides.

“It’s a continuation of the language of BRAT,” she explained. “The whole beginning of the campaign was following the Brat ethos: having a private Instagram, leaving hints, not putting something totally in your face.”

She continued, “With the design of the shoe… the fact that it is on the sole, it’s this hidden little thing. I like that the logo is being walked through the dark; that feels very inherently Brat. There’s an element of destruction to the placement, which I really like.”

Mark Your Calendar

The Charli XCX x Converse collab officially drops Tuesday, Aug. 5, but don’t drag your feet, it’s only available for three days. After that, the BRAT dream shoes vanish just as mysteriously as they arrived.
