Nothing says October like monsters, mayhem, and Guillermo del Toro. Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and new photos for Frankenstein, offering a chilling look at Jacob Elordi as the Creature, Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, and Mia Goth as Elizabeth Lavenza.

The official trailer gives us a personal look into the man behind the monster. It opens with a haunting narration, this time from Elordi’s Creature, his deep, chilling voiceover underscoring the tragedy of a monster desperate for love but destined for fear.

“My maker told his tale, and I will tell you mine.”

Between flashes of candlelit chambers, stitched flesh, and storm-soaked laboratories, del Toro’s trademark mix of romance and terror is on full display. Each frame feels ripped straight from a Gothic fever dream.

“I demand a single grace from you. If you are not to award me love, then I will indulge in rage.”

  • Oscar Isaac transforms into Victor Frankenstein, shown in commanding moments as he lectures, experiments, and wrestles with his doomed obsession.
  • Mia Goth is the eerie centerpiece as Elizabeth Lavenza, draped in peacock feathers and jewels — embodying both beauty and foreboding as the bride-to-be caught in Victor’s spiral.

Del Toro’s Longtime Dream

Del Toro has dreamed of adapting Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel for years, calling it his favorite book. Now, with his signature mix of spectacle and soul, he’s bringing Shelley’s tale of love, horror, and human hubris to life just in time for Halloween season.
