Peacock has released a new trailer for Season 4 of The Traitors, offering fans a deeper look at the deception, alliances and inevitable betrayals awaiting the latest group of competitors. The Emmy-winning reality competition returns with a three-episode premiere on Jan. 8, with Alan Cumming once again presiding over the chaos in his now-iconic role as host.
The newly released preview teases higher stakes, sharper strategy and plenty of suspicion among a cast stacked with reality TV royalty, athletes and pop culture personalities. In one standout moment, Donna Kelce, affectionately known as “Mama Kelce,” mother of NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, declares, “Show me the money,” signaling that no one is entering the Scottish castle without ambition.
As in previous seasons, stars from The Real Housewives franchise appear to be early targets in the deadly game. “The Housewives” are once again framed as a group to watch, and possibly eliminate, as alliances form and fracture. In the trailer, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams is heard accusing someone of attempting to “haul out the Housewives,” underscoring the ongoing tension surrounding the Bravo contingent.
Season 4 features one of the show’s most eclectic and high-profile casts yet. Joining Williams are fellow Housewives Candiace Dillard Bassett (The Real Housewives of Potomac), Caroline Stanbury (The Real Housewives of Dubai), Dorinda Medley (The Real Housewives of New York City) and Lisa Rinna (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills).
The lineup also includes Colton Underwood (The Bachelor), Olympic figure skaters Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, singer-songwriter Eric Nam, Top Chef host Kristen Kish and RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Monét X Change, a fan favorite whose presence further cements the show’s strong appeal to LGBTQ audiences.
Reality competition veterans round out the cast, including Ian Terry and Tiffany Mitchell (Big Brother), Rob Cesternino, Natalie Anderson and Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho (Survivor), Rob Rausch (Love Island USA) and Maura Higgins (Love Island USA Aftersun). Also joining the game are actor Michael Rapaport, comedian Ron Funches, Dancing with the Stars alum Mark Ballas and One Tree Hill and Laguna Beach star Stephen Colletti.
Based on the Dutch series De Verraders, The Traitors divides contestants into two secret groups: The Faithful and the Traitors. While the Faithful work to identify who among them is lying, the Traitors quietly “murder” players under cover of night, eliminating them from the game. Those suspected of deceit face banishment during the dramatic roundtable discussions — a hallmark of the series.
Cumming’s theatrical flair and camp sensibility continue to be a major draw for the series, which has become one of Peacock’s most successful unscripted offerings. The streamer has also expanded the franchise, recently ordering a civilian version of The Traitors for NBC, with Cumming returning as host.
With its mix of strategy, spectacle and queer-favorite personalities, The Traitors Season 4 is shaping up to be its most explosive chapter yet. The full trailer is now available to stream ahead of the Jan. 8 premiere on Peacock.
