As Netflix’s The Hunting Wives gears up for its highly anticipated second season, stars Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman are helping kick off Pride Month with a playful and heartfelt message for LGBTQ+ fans.
In a new video shared by MOST, the pair joked about embracing “absolute worst behavior” during Pride Month.
“Kissing lots of cute girls, dancing late into the night, and of course, shots,” the duo teased.
“We give you permission to get your freak on and have the best month ever,” they said. “We hope you have the most incredible month with love, laughter, and most importantly, chosen family.”
The stars also took a moment to acknowledge LGBTQ+ people who may not be out yet, sharing an encouraging reminder that support is waiting whenever they’re ready.
“And for those of you who are not out yet, there’s a whole community waiting for you with open arms when you’re ready.”
The clip is one of several Pride Month videos being released by MOST throughout June, spotlighting LGBTQ+ stories, talent, and community across Netflix’s slate.
The timing comes as excitement continues to build around Season 2 of The Hunting Wives, which recently got the greenlight. Netflix confirmed that Sophie, Margo, and even Margo’s unforgettable wig will return as the drama’s twists, secrets, and complicated relationships continue to unfold.
Created by Rebecca Cutter and based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives follows a wealthy suburban community where desire, deception, and power collide. The first season premiered on Netflix in the United States on July 21 and spent five weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV rankings, earning more than 20 million views during that run.
Season 2 will find Sophie and Margo estranged, though old secrets and dangerous new enemies will force them back into each other’s orbit. Returning cast members include Snow, Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, and George Ferrier, alongside Karen Rodriguez and Hunter Emery. Additional casting announcements are expected in the coming months.
