Thursday night at The Abbey was equal parts glam, glitter, and good vibes as MISTR’s stunning models joined the star-studded Blue Carpet Countdown for the inaugural National PrEP Day. The event, hosted by Bob the Drag Queen and MISTR CEO Tristan Schukraft, kicked off a bold campaign aiming to enroll 10,000 new people on PrEP in just 10 days to help end HIV in the U.S.
While drag royalty, global pop stars, and A-list celebrities drew the headlines, MISTR’s own models were impossible to miss. From sharply tailored suits to effortlessly striking looks, these ambassadors of sexual health brought energy, confidence, and charisma to every corner of the iconic venue.
Striking a Pose for Prevention
The MISTR models served more than just eye candy. Each presence was a statement: sexual health is stylish, accessible, and worth celebrating. Moving through the crowd, they posed alongside celebrities, engaged attendees in conversation, and helped set the tone for a night that merged advocacy with entertainment.
As Cardi B reminded the crowd, “Sexual health should be easy and zero shame. That’s why I’m rocking with MISTR & SISTR! Even if you don’t have insurance, it’s free! Safe, smart, and for the community.” The MISTR models amplified that message, showing that confidence and care go hand in hand.
A Star-Packed Night
The countdown event included unforgettable performances, from drag superstars paying tribute to Dua Lipa, to a surprise appearance by the pop icon herself. Diplo kept the dance floor alive, followed by an after-party with SG Lewis. Celebrities and influencers, from Omar Apollo and Matt Bomer to Demi Lovato and Kim Petras, mingled, danced, and celebrated the launch of the new national holiday.
Amid the glitter and confetti, MISTR models stood out as ambassadors of both style and purpose, helping bridge the gap between advocacy and entertainment. Their presence reinforced the campaign’s mission: sexual health is important, inclusive, and should be embraced without shame.
Beyond the Blue Carpet
National PrEP Day isn’t just a moment; it’s a movement. MISTR and its companion brand SISTR are leading the charge to provide free PrEP and DoxyPEP, as well as long-acting injectable PrEP, to LGBTQ+ communities and others at risk for HIV. Across 15 cities nationwide, events and campaigns are raising awareness, driving access, and celebrating sexual health equity.
