Euphoria is officially back in session. HBO’s high school fever dream, created by Sam Levinson, will return in spring 2026 with eight brand-new episodes, and the latest cast announcement is nothing short of chaotic perfection.

Among the new faces joining Rue and the rest of the East Highland crew are social-media icon Trisha Paytas, Russian Doll’s Natasha Lyonne, Till’s Danielle Deadwyler, and horror auteur Eli Roth, a lineup no one could’ve predicted, but honestly, we’re into it. They’re not alone, either. The season welcomes a massive ensemble that includes Bella Podaras, Gideon Adlon, Colleen Camp, Sam Trammell, Rebecca Pidgeon, and even Homer Gere (yes, Richard Gere’s dad), among others.

The OGs Are Back

Of course, Euphoria wouldn’t be Euphoria without its original cast. Returning stars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Eric Dane, and Martha Kelly are all confirmed by HBO. Dominic Fike will reprise his role as guitar-strumming heartbreaker Elliot, and Nika King returns as Rue’s mom, Leslie.

Sadly, some fan favorites won’t be back, Storm Reid confirmed that Gia won’t appear this season, and Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat, exited the show in 2022. The absence of Angus Cloud, who tragically passed away in 2023, will no doubt cast a shadow over the series, as Fezco remains one of Euphoria’s most beloved characters.

Production and Release Schedule

Filming is now underway in Los Angeles after multiple production delays, and insiders say this season will feature a significant time jump, taking the characters beyond high school and into adulthood. What that means for Rue’s future, we can’t wait to find out, but knowing Euphoria, it’s bound to be messy, emotional, and unforgettable.

While much of the plot is still under wraps, with this massive new roster and Sam Levinson’s signature chaos at the helm, Euphoria’s long-awaited return is shaping up to be an unfiltered, unhinged, and unforgettable trip.

Euphoria season 1 and 2 are streaming now on HBO.
