Cara Delevingne and Samara Weaving are turning up the heat in a new music video before things take a completely unhinged turn.

Delevingne tapped the Ready or Not star for “Crazy, Baby,” her recently released song about the intoxicating moment when a friendship begins turning into something more.

“’Cause when you kiss me / I get a little bit crazy, baby, maybe,” Delevingne sings. “I’m out of my head.”

The video transforms that feeling into a full-blown romantic fantasy. Delevingne and Weaving disrobe, dance through a house and get increasingly intimate as the chemistry between them takes over. There is flirting. There is face licking. There are very few clothes. It is all wildly sexy.

Unfortunately, spoiler warning, it is also entirely in Delevingne’s head.

This Steamy Fantasy Comes With a Twist

Just as the video reaches its hottest moment, the music suddenly stops and reality crashes the party. Delevingne has actually broken into Weaving’s home and imagined their entire encounter.

It is an appropriately unhinged turn for a song called “Crazy, Baby,” and Weaving is perfectly cast as the unsuspecting object of Delevingne’s fantasy. The actor has built a career playing characters whose stories can pivot from glamorous to gloriously chaotic without warning.

“Crazy, Baby” is Delevingne’s fourth single since beginning her music career earlier this year. It follows “I Forgot,” “Out of My Head” and “Need It.”

The song was inspired by Delevingne’s girlfriend of four years, British singer-songwriter Minke. Delevingne previously told Rolling Stone that she initially worried its message was too obvious, especially because her partner is a private person who dislikes grand romantic gestures.

“The lyrics are basically like, ‘I’m sorry, but this is a love song. Get over it,’” she said. “In a cute way.”

That relationship has also helped Delevingne embrace a label she once struggled to claim. After years of resisting labels, she recently spoke openly about identifying as a lesbian and the future she envisions with Minke.

“At this point in my life, I’m very happy to say I’m a lesbian,” she told Variety. “I don’t see myself being with anyone else for the rest of my life and I want to have a family with this woman. So yes, I’m a very proud lesbian.”

Delevingne also described Minke as her “biggest champion” throughout the process of creating and releasing her music. The pair originally met while attending school in England, where Minke was one year ahead of Delevingne, before reconnecting and eventually becoming a couple.

Cara Delevingne’s Debut Album Is Coming

“Crazy, Baby” offers another taste of Delevingne’s debut album, Not Normal, which is scheduled to arrive Sept. 25.

“Writing songs over the years has been such an important part of my life, and it has been so special to finally start sharing these songs with you this past summer,” Delevingne wrote on Instagram. “If any of you connect with even one song, that’s all I’ve ever wanted.”

For anyone connecting specifically with the sight of Samara Weaving licking Cara Delevingne’s face before an absolutely chaotic plot twist, this one is for you.
