Lady Gaga is extending the mayhem a little longer and we’re not mad about it.

The full Apple Music Live: Lady Gaga MAYHEM Requiem performance is now available to stream on demand exclusively through Apple Music, giving Little Monsters another chance to experience the singer’s theatrical reimagining of MAYHEM after its global premiere and one-night theatrical screenings in select U.S. cities.

The event even came with a surprise appearance from Gaga herself, who popped up at The Grove in Los Angeles to celebrate the release alongside fans.

Directed and produced by Morningview, MAYHEM Requiem transforms Gaga’s Grammy-winning seventh studio album into something darker, moodier, and far more intimate. Filmed during a one-night-only performance at The Wiltern, the special strips the pop spectacle down to cracked ruins, dramatic lighting, and Gaga stationed mostly behind a piano or synth.

The result feels like the aftermath of a glamorous apocalypse.

Gaga Turns ‘MAYHEM’ Into Gothic Theater

Throughout the performance, Gaga reinvents tracks from MAYHEM with entirely new arrangements. “Abracadabra” and “Disease” take on a haunting edge, while “Killah” leans into heavy industrial production. Her chart-topping duet with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile,” gets an electro-funk makeover that shifts the song into hypnotic territory.

Apple Music’s companion live album is also available in Spatial Audio, allowing listeners to experience the set with immersive production designed specifically for the platform.

Behind-The-Scenes Footage Reveals Gaga’s Vision

The newly released behind-the-scenes feature may be the most fascinating part of the rollout.

The footage gives viewers a closer look at Gaga’s creative process as she conceptualizes the visual world of MAYHEM Requiem. At one point, Gaga explains the idea behind the production to her team:

“What if we were to lock the set away after we were done with the last show, and over hundreds of years, it fell apart, and some Little Monster from the future found it, or made an art piece out of it?”

That concept shapes the entire performance. The stage appears decayed and abandoned, as if audiences are watching a lost relic unearthed centuries later. It’s theatrical without feeling overproduced, a balance Gaga has mastered throughout her career.

‘MAYHEM’ Continues Its Awards Run

The release arrives after a massive run for MAYHEM, which marked a full-force return to Gaga’s pop roots while still embracing experimental production and darker themes.

Executive produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky, and Andrew Watt, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming Gaga’s seventh consecutive solo album to top the chart. The project also dominated Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart for 17 weeks and earned platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

“Die With a Smile” became one of the album’s biggest crossover hits, spending 18 weeks atop the Billboard Global 200 and five weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

At the 2026 Grammy Awards, MAYHEM won Best Pop Vocal Album while also earning nominations for Album of the Year. “Abracadabra” received a Song of the Year nomination, while “Disease” landed in the Best Pop Solo Performance category.

For Gaga fans, MAYHEM Requiem feels like one final curtain call before the artist moves into her next era, and she made sure it arrived with maximum drama.
